Come on of course it was.

 

Pamplin headed it over the goal keeper and Campbell ran through and headed it in without a single Sawbo defender, including the goalkeeper, between him and the goal when Pamplin headed it on.

 

If the lino didn't give it the ref could have seen it was off side.

 

But the worst decision was booking Dean Nyman when it was Rudi Hall who was involved with the incident with Graeme.

Three sending offs in the second half.10 minutes spent argueing the toss with furious players.The game stopped for at least 7-8 minutes because of bad injuries in the second half.5 substitutions.At least 30 fouls.And numerous incidents of time wasting.

I knew the signs were ominous,because i never saw him stop or restart his watch once in the entire game.

 

Answer me this: The ball was in play for no more than 15-20 minutes in the second half,but the ref adds on 4 minutes.But every home game we have,the ref plays until 5.00pm, even when there has been no stoppages. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/doah.gif" alt="" />

 

Let me say that Towns second goal was so far offside that it was embarrassing.Nyman got sent off for backchat and mistaken identity.The Sawbo No10's sending off was for a discraceful knee high studding of Greame Hall.(He was carried off in agony),the No10 then followed through and studded another Town player for good measure.I also don't know what Sawbo's 'Stef' was moaning about when he received his second yellow.His lunge at Matty's ankle should have been a straight red.G.Hall was lucky only to recieve a yellow in the first half also,when he put in a bad tackle on thier No7.

 

Sawbo's penalty occured just after the ref failed to spot Peacey commit a hand ball,and their second came after the ref had unbelievably awarded them non-existent corner.

 

The most important question is WHY can't we manage to beat Sawbo on a regular basis.They are fit, committed, and organised but untimately LIMITED.They remind me of a very good sunday league team,rather than a proper non league outfit...Until we learn to overcome teams like this AND woefull refereeing ,we will never get out of this league,because we will come across plenty of teams like Sawbo and plenty of incompetent refs again before the end of the season.It up to the players and the management to overcome these sort of obsticles.

 

Byfield looked good when he came on,and Asa had his best game since Harlow in the FA cup.

Chopper- not sure about the ref and other lino but the lino that was on the side by the bar was the same as the one we had at Waltham Abbey! one that thought the goal wasnt offside.

 

i'm not complaining that it wasnt classed as offside cus otherwise we would have lost but, i think it was.

Campbell was behind the ball so it never mattered about any defenders at any time for our second goal.
