Ramsgate want ground approval

The difference here is Ramsgate have not deliberately demolished and destroyed Southwood or the playing area and are still able to play football.Unlike Margate directors?????? who decided to embark on a plan of action to force the local authority into a corner, hoping it would cave in to the Clubs wishes, and if they do not get their own way, then blame every one but themselves. It is as simple as that. I am a lifetime supporter of Margate always have been always will be,I hope we get our new stadium at Hartsdown, but I must also say BEST OF LUCK TO RAMSGATE in their plans!!!!!

Quite right. The Rams are perfectly entitled to try and get promotion. I think you'll find there is no stupid plan for a hotel/casino/theme park/presidential palace pr whatever attached. Just make the ground suitable for the next level. If Margate had done the same you'd have been playing at Hartsdown Park in the Conference now instead of shlepping down to near Ashford to fight a relegation battle.

Still cannot understand your point about the ground. If you want to extend your outhouse to start with you have to demolish whats in the way and clear it to begin the ground works. Then the builder goes bust. Do you then say i should'nt have pulled down the outhouse. Its time to put that one to bed in the roll of carpet it deserves. As to the rest Yes the best of luck to Ramsgate. The area deserves two clubs playing at an higher level. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />The more competition the better. If they need a tempory home in the future i hope the Gaaaaates new stadium will be made availible to them.
