Right £400. If the fans could give the club that much a week for wages would you rather get two 'sqaud' players or one good player?

Two squad players? If you believe Yeading, then you could get 4 or 5 for £400 p/w combined...

If Tony Boot really wants regular first-team action, a chance to rekindle his successful partnership with Hodges, and get noticed again by trying to help us to promotion, I'd like to think he'd take a pay cut to something similar to what he was on with us before. The article says:

"There is no leeway on the current wage bill and Slough would have to pay all of Boot's current weekly earnings"

If that's something like £300-£400, which I could well imagine for a contracted Conference player, it's far too much for STFC.

Good year. We all love Hodgey. Don't you go unsettling him now Woody. Our point is that we have not found the right partner for Hodgey that will bring out his best.

Interesting to note that Dover would have no problem paying his wages given their recent near collapse.

That was me by the way. I deleted my cookies and forgot I was logged out. The first sentance was meant to be "God yeah" - I was agreeing with Charlie - but unfortunately my brain and my typing were not quite on the same wavelength.
