Boot wants Rebels return - but cash kills deal

Interesting point. I would welcome Tony back and think it would be a great move for the club. But would I be prepared to contribute to his wage packet on a weekly basis?

I don't think I would to be honest. Part of Eddie's job - which in my view he has done brilliantly - is to manage a small weekly budget.

Perhaps if we could get a few more regulars to attend games our budget would increase.

One good player. I am quite happy with our squad albeit fairly small. In my view we need a pacy striker more than we need say a reserve right back.

I think we do need a little perspective as well if we were to get Booty back that does not guarantee a 70 goal partnership with Hodges.

i think you're reading this wrong woody, none of us are anti-hodges, he's still one of our finest strikers, it's just that this season one can't ignore his somewhat lack lustre performance at times and we are wondering whether it's to do with the fact he's having difficulty gelling with our current strikers... i think i speak for all of us when i say that hodges is undoubtedly a key player in our squad

Good year. We all love Hodgey. Don't you go unsettling him now Woody. Our point is that we have not found the right partner for Hodgey that will bring out his best.

Interesting to note that Dover would have no problem paying his wages given their recent near collapse.

Dover's new owner recognises that on-pitch performance needs to improve, and has sanctioned expenditure on a striker to achieve this. Also, they have a very good fanbase, so they should be able to afford it.

I think the BorehamWood chairman has decided to wield the axe (just for a change). He has apparently got rid of the manager because they are not doing very well in the league and I imagine Sammy is transfer listed because of his high wages.
