Sorry,just got back in from work. Received phone call today that the council are meeting up on that same day 13th but at 5-30p.m.Earlier than previously thought. So if we want them to see us then we have to be there at 4-30 to 5 p.m. in order to catch them going in, hopefully. If we do miss them we can still let them know we are outside can't we? Remember though,in good taste,watch the language as members of the public will also be looking on at that time of day.

Sorry for not getting back to you previously but as mentioned was at work. Choocha puffa etc.

I do have to mention it in the morning to the P.C. mentioned previously and hope that there will be no snags there. Confirmation on this will be given on here in the morning. I realise its an awkward time of the day but we must STILL do our utmost to get there. With friends,with your wives if nessasary. Why not?

Again I emphasise it must be orderly.

Anyone out there got a couple of megaphones?

Heres looking forward to a good turn out.The best we have ever had. Lets not let the club down.They are happy with this going on but they also can't stress enough the importance of a civilised demo.

 

Thanet gazzette have been informed and although too late for tommorrows edition have been told something will be in the Thanet Times on tuesday about the Demo going on. Contact with radio Kent and KLFM and Meridian must also be made.

Can someone sort those out please?

Was the meeting originally scheduled for 5pm or did they bring it forward to miss the demo??

 

Refreshing the way our leaders can drop everything and be ready for a meeting in the centre of Margate before 5 whilst the rest of us have to work til then or later.

If moving the time was some kind of conspiracy it was pretty cack-handed. They should have delayed announcing it until the day before. It shouldn't affect the numbers too much anyway. Most people finish work by 5pm and the council offices are pretty central.

Perhaps they are losing their touch at being snidey,coniving b*stards-maybe,just maybe the fightback has got them on the run,although I'm sure Sandy will be working overtime on a "sh*t-we're about to be found out strategy". Not good enough.

 

Make them meet you in Cecil Square that way you have your meeting, vocally support the club AND bring someone else along.......unless this appointment involves removing your clothing then best it is held elsewhere.

Just like to say to Cookie, I have not always agreed with everything you say (although I think our views on the conduct of the Council are absolutely in tune), but I think you have done sterling work on the demonstration to get it off the ground, and shown what a true fan you are.

Personal thanks from me for being prepared to put yourself out for this.
