News of Former Blues

Recommended Posts

It's too hot to move so I thought I would see what I could find out about some former Billericay players still playing....

Leon Gutzmore is now at Cambridge City and has scored twice in their first three pre season games..... Glenn Southgate and Steve Blaney lined up for Harlow against Braintree on Saturday. Gary Waters, still at Braintree, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg. Wish him well and a speedy recovery.... Craig Davidson has returned to C*nv*y.... Steve Darlington was on the bench for Carshalton against Fulham....Gary Howard and Colin Wall have both joined Boreham Wood.... Two familiar names in the squad for Enfield Town - John Ridout and Martin St. Hilaire. Martin's son Keke is also at the club!

Whatever happened to steven blaney? He used to go to my school, and represented England in school football, then signed for the hammers. then he went to Billericay. is he still on the books? He didnt play last season and isnt in the match day squad

It's always been a mystery to me and I'm sure somebody will let me know, but why did Martin St Hilaire leave the club, was it a wages issue? I've always thought that he was one of the most exciting players I've seen play in the 7 years I've been supporting the club and was very disappointed when he left.

Boreham Wood vs Enfield Town

It was confirmed this morning that Tommy Morgan has broken his leg.

Enfield are planning a collection for Tommy at the game tomorrow.

Please give your change for Tommy.

Found this info on the Enfield Town Forum.

"Tommy was supposed to start a new job on Monday.

Perhaps we could have a collection for him at Billericay on Saturday. He used to play for them so maybe they would chip in too."

Yes please, it would be nice if you could spare a few coppers for Tommy. It was a nasty tackle and one of our (Enfield Town) supporters has even asked Borehamwood fans if they would like to chip in as it was one their players that did the damage (I expect no response though).

Snowsill is with us, thanks.

And yes, we do have both Martin and Keke St Hilaire. 'Saint' is a bit slower these days but his experience is proving to be vital in the Foresters Essex Senior League. Young Keke (15 years old) has shown plenty of promise.

John Ridout is our skipper for the season and is an absolute gem.

See you all tomorrow - can't wait to see George Borg again.
