They're getting a new striker, apparently either Tony Boot, Darren Hay or Stuart Douglas (according to someone on the Isthmian forum). I've heard that it'll be Douglas.

Douglas has apparently been released by Dagenham or Hornchurch (can't remember which) and if it's the same Hay, he used to play for Woking but I'm not sure where he is now. Dagenham again maybe?

If he leaves Dagenham, even only on loan, I would like to think we'd at least approach him. Having said that, it would put Miller further down the pecking order again regardless of how well he did out on loan.

 

Mind you, the Steve Browne connection may be working in their favour on that one as he signed him originally for Slough.

I'd like to think that a) Eddie has tried to sign him and Tony has more sense than to go back to Browne.

Boot loves the fans and will go to the club with the best atmosphere and both clubs have got good fanbase

If it came down to the fans I doubt we would be seeing Booty back at Slough. His relationship with the supporters was frosty at best and I think he took some of the criticism received to heart.

 

Having said that I would like to see him back and on the positive side he knows the club, most of the players and had an excellent partnership with the Hodge. What better way to get yourself noticed than by scoring plenty of goals again?

 

But we all know that Browne's greatest gift is to pile the BS high and he may be able to persuade Tone that he will be better off at Dover.

 

Perhaps Eddie would not even want him back......

I would love to see Tony back at Slough, it's a shame things have not worked out for him in the conference but if he is going to return to a club lower down in the pyramid I hope it's us!

I think it will be dover now but then browne will have been talking ball as usual and he will be back at slough,

 

Eg. Ryan Williams, Veli Hakki.

Its a real shame for Booty if he doesn't make it at Dagenham and as much as I would love to see him back at Slough, even if only short term, I cant see him wanting to admit failure by coming back. Hope its one of the other two that Dover are signing, if we can't have him, don't want Browne to have him either.
