Michael Bartley Returns to Burnham!!!

Just read on the non league paper website that Bartley has re-signed for Burnham. What are we playing at? He has left us to rejoin that shower, and with that Deaner gets a run out? Our Club Management has about as much knowledge of football as a flea, and thats being harsh on the the Flea!!!

What do you mean by 'that shower'. A quote a few days ago said Michael can do better than Burnham. Yes everybody hopes he eventually does do better. At least at the moment he'll be doing better than he's done for the last 9 months. He made that step backwards last September and it now looks as though he's seen the error and started climbing the ladder again.

Michael Bartley left Slough a better player than when he arrived, that was clear to see from his early performances in a Rebels shirt. He even said that himself.

 

In my opinion going back to Burnham is a big backwards step, no disrespect to Burnham, but he should have signed for Chesham as he is clearly capable of playing at that level.

He looked more than ordinary at Egham on Saturday in a very ordinary side!

Doubt it was the potential level of football at Burnham that attracted him back there. More likely matters "off the field" were more appealing. How many times has that been the case with decent departing Rebels players in past three years or so, going off to hardly big clubs? Anyone like to list departures to lower or suposedly equal level???

The fact of the matter is that when you play for a club that is run by people who have a much use as a solar powered torch, people will do anything to get away.
