There is that possibility but as the club have given them all that they want I would hope the council think really hard before actually doing that. Repercussions would be major. Lets hope that dosent happen and that they recognise that this club is more important than the scheme they have planned, if that were to be the case. The fight will go on if that does happen.

NO SURRENDER! Hartsdown is rightfully our home and justice must prevail. The ground belongs to the people of thanet not the people who are entrusted to take care of it.. the caretakers, paid by the people of thanet, Yes the council!

Supposed Human Beings, just like us, but who seem to have no hearts.

From Kent Online....

"the club have been ground-sharing with Dover and now Ashford. However, the Football Conference have already stated they will not allow the arrangement to extend beyond the end of this season."

Is This True?

At ashford. Yes think thats true John. Thats part of the strategy the council are relying on. They are timing us out until we have no-where to go.

They house the illegal immigrants and homeless, and even pay them, but what are they doing to accomadate us. Nothing! They should be bending over backwards for us and should be offering us an alternative,at the least. No they should be helping us to get OUR home back We are not homeless yet, just waiting for a refit.

Cookie says that the "club ahve given everything they have been asked for" how do you know? Did someone from the club tell you?

Council Members and Officers may not come across as being helpful, but they have a job and a procedeure to follow. If the the club have been unable to give the full info, then they will be asked to do so until they do, or, the scheme could just die a long lingering death (if it is'nt already doing so!)

If you look at the statement from the club. it would seem more a case of the right hand of TDC not knowing what the left hand is doing. Agreements appear to have been made in one department and then not communicated to the other interested parties. Looks a bit like what I said on a previous posting, poor administration and communication if not downright incompetence. Or is it that the genuine officers of the council are followimng due process only to be shot down by the ones with the agenda?

Don't forget that a recent audit classed the administration as poor if I remember right.

I do not think the scheme is dying a long lingering death, it is being starved and poisoned, and it's about time we had a bit of fairness and good faith from the council, or even an antidote and some sustenance, they have it in their power to grant those.

Wasn't it about this time last year that JP said that they were trying to time out the proposal? Seems he might have been spot on there.

The decision to shaft the club at Christmas I think was a monumental error of judgement on their part, which has galvanised support for the club. Perhaps they thought we would not notice? Not being football fans, I do not think they are fully aware that a passion for your club does not go to sleep on public holidays, or at any other time.

I have tried to keep an open mind on this development, but I believe that this council is dishonest. My Sister who lives in Ramsgate lives on the flight path to Kent International, (Manston). The council announced some time ago that they wanted to extend night-flying into the airport, but there would be a public enquiry. I do not know much about this as not living in the area. However My sister was down at xmas and states that there was an announcement in the Gazette on Christmas Eve that if anybody had any objections they should put in writing but it had to be at the coucil offices by THAT afternoon. As a lot of people were still at work how were they going to do that? most of them probably don't even read the paper until the evening. This is exactly what the council did to MFC. Not only that but it was announced a few days later that nightflying is to go ahead anyway!! This has got to stop. I was down in the Summer for a day and could not believe how run down the place is. How can they not want something like the MFC project in such a run down area, it beggers belief. Keep up the fight, I cannot make the Demo as I am at work, but well done all those who have organised it. Lets hope the locals pull together for this and there is a good turn out.

I am apalled at the way the Conservative administration in Thanet has behaved regarding Margate FC.

I do not live in Thanet but AM a member of my local Conservative Association, however, I shall be telling relatives and friends in Thanet to think very carefully next time TDC elections come round and will urge them to choose a locally based independent candidate if one is available.

The way Ezekiel and his tribe have behaved has not only been a disgrace to Thanet, it has been a disgrace to the Conservative party. Unfortunately, when I wrote to Michael Howard about it I received no reply. Strange given that his constituency is next door and could be considered a marginal come the general election this May.

Maybe a few more of you should consider asking Mr Howard to look into this ... especially since you live close enough to cause him some electoral hassle!!!!

Just a thought!
