The Up To Date Position At Hx

Been a busy night on the forums I see. Well perhaps that's our fault for allowing the up to date position to remain unclear. I see no harm in Jennie posting her views last night, in fact I watched from 200 miles away as she was doing it and decided to keep out of it. Most of her opinions I agree with as indeed did the 20 or so PM'ers that she received messages from today. I certainly couldn't read any venom from the pages, only passion and perhaps frustration from one who loves the football club so dearly.

 

So perhaps more good than harm was achieved. There is obviously divided opinion about the spirit at the club at the moment and I do believe personally that the forum and indeed the club has lost its way and we'll see if we cannot do something about that in due course.

 

The one comment I will make is this, I more than anyone have worked tirelessly to promote the club and build up the fan base, I think that the attendence figures over the past 3 years are testimony to that. All fans, new or old, regardless of creed, colour, age or religion are vitally important to the club. Jennie was a little controversial in that respect but no doubt NTRSW should loook at his new signature if he doesn't want to promote heated debate.

Okay, it looks as though the proposed purchasers of the club put forward by the Directors have fallen at the last and most important hurdle. Being prepared to put their money where their desires to own a football club were.

 

Unless there is a last minute about turn we now consider there to be NO interested parties willing to secure the future of the football club and must therefore, on behalf of the shareholders, accept responsibility for the clubs future.

 

Tommorrow morning we have a meeting with Gary Calder and Gary Hill, we have also arranged for the clubs accountants to conduct a full audit of the clubs financial affairs which shall commence tommorrow afternoon after that meeting.

 

By midday tommorrow we shall make, on behalf of the club's shareholders, a statement informing all interested parties what our next steps will be. There are obviously financial matters to be attended to and the shareholders of the club will, in conjunction with advice received from the clubs accountants, take such required measures to deal with those issues.

 

We are grateful for the patience and continued support of the supporters and the players and staff. What has happened has happened. It will not change and forward is the only way now. Going back over old ground will serve no purpose and we would ask that you all join in the spirit of that. Things will perhaps have to change and hopefully you will all support those changes if they come as indeed you have all supported the changes over the past few years.

 

A statement on behalf of the club will be issued on this forum and to the press at midday tommorow.

Thanks for the post Unc, it will be great to hear from the horses mouth the exact postion and how the club plan to go forward for real.

 

With regards to NTRSW's new signature I cant see what the problem is......that date relates to the game at Arlesey and it relates directly to comments by A1ITT after NTRSW didnt't go to the Newport game likewise A1ITT didn't go to Arlesey...there is no double meaning or any other innuendo...can anyone explain to me where the problem lies.???

Sounds ominous. Will be waiting the release with great interest, as im sure many others will be. Unc I just think, that with all these rumours flying around it gets very frustrating for all us supporters, and have no doubt frustrating for yourself.

It seems to be a different one each game.

No one doubts what you have done for our club, and I as many others are extremely grateful for what you have done for HFC. Here is hoping it is good news. Happy new year to yourself and Jen.

Thanks Keemo, I didn't realise these was any confusion over this date, due to the previous posts.

If the Arlesey date is causing anyone any further grievance I'd be happy to change it, although it was merely a personal joke between friends as well as a celebration of a great achievement for HFC.
