But its the same for exiting the atmosphere isn't it?

No. Re-entry speed is far greater than the exit speed. Also, on take off, the spacecraft can leave the atmosphere at any angle but on re-entry, the angle has to be exact: too deep and the craft burns up, too shallow and it will richocet off the atmosphere back into space.

Also, refering to another post regarding temperature, whilst space itself is cold, the stars are powered by nuclear fusion which of course produces heat but this is obviously lost in the vacuum of the cosmos. An alternative theory relates to black-holes which distort and eventually consume space, matter, time and energy (heat) which in turn keeps space cold, depite the biliions of heat sources in the galaxies. Or something like that, anyway.......in truth, I haven't the faintest idea what I'm talking about................and I'm sober......

Comets are small, fragile, irregularly shaped bodies composed of a mixture of non-volatile grains and frozen gases. They have highly elliptical orbits that bring them very close to the Sun and swing them deeply into space, often beyond the orbit of Pluto.

When the get close to sun the gases begin to melt giving rise to the tail that you can see whenever a comet passes this neck of the solar system.

I fjeff King was an entry on that website i think it could read:

Jeff King- Large Pointless Object that spews vile Gases on a regular basis, not much threat to the rest of mankind!

Surely if he spews Vile Gasses, he would be a menace to mankind. It would contribute to Global Warning which would melt the polar icecaps causing the sea levels to rise alarmingly and cause flooding in low lying levels.....Like Canvey Island........No you are right..............no threat to mankind at all!

Maybe we should create a spacecraft to send SPACE CADET SCALLY, and his co pilot JEFF KING into space. Mind you it would need to be extremely big, to fit King's body and Scally's ego in the same area.

On second thoughts, that might cause the whole thing to blow up!!!!

as for the comment about Jukebox's turns, he doesn't showboat enough to create crop circles. Unlike one or two Premiership players who i could mention!!!!!
