4 unsolicited free tickets

Recommended Posts

Sent to the council for inclusion in their public records

-------------------------

Declaration by Paul Janik, councillor

I received in my council mailbag on Tuesday, 4 January 2005, 4 free unsolicited tickets from Slough Town Football Club. The club has always been extremely hostile towards me on a personal basis and one of its important and influential supporters has submitted 5 or 6 maliciously motivated complaints to the Standards Board for England. Consequently I have no wish to be involved neither with the club nor with its tickets.

You reap what you sow, councillor. Treat the football club and its supporters with total contempt and nothing more than an opportunity for political point scoring and you get back what you deserve. Thanks for dropping in and showing your true colours.

Oh The Drama......

I doubt any of us will be losing any sleep over your decision Cllr Janik.....

As usual you can't do anything that's not dressed up with total pomposity can you?

Dear oh dear Paul, what a strange little person you are!

In what way? Please substantiate your claim or remove it. I'm sure that the club, like most of us as supporters didn't have the slightest clue who you were until you started attacking the club and its supporters on this forum. Judging by your appearance I would have thought that you are most likely in your late 40s/early 50s, so any hostility over the course of the last year does not really classify as 'always'. Then again, you do like to overstate things don't you.

Several things here Paul. First of all, I was not aware that you ranked supporters of the football club in order of importance. I would be interested in seeing the criteria sometime. Perhaps we should do the same for Councillors at SBC - if we did I fear you may be near the bottom of the pile. Secondly, surely you must know how many complaints have been made against you, saying 5 or 6 illustrates once again how pathetic you are when it comes to figures. I refer you back to your biased survey of Britwell residents with a pitiful response rate that you seem so proud of. As you have boasted on another forum that you have the most complaints against you of any councillor in the country, surely the odd 5 or 6 won't be of any real concern to you. Finally, even you must concede that residents must be allowed to make complaints about Councillors that they believe have broken the Code of Conduct that they have signed up to. If you have done nothing wrong then the Standards Board will clear you. Then again, perhaps you have been insensitive to the complainant, as you were to George Davidson.

And there was me thinking that you attempting to sabotage our future by whipping up frenzied propaganda on the Britwell against the football club was the action of a man who did want to be involved with the club. I would suggest you have made 57 more postings on the football club forum than the average person who does not want to have anything to do with the club.

Rest assured Paul, this football club has been around a lot longer than you and will outlive your small-minded political 'career'.

No doubt only half the story, if that, and probably spun better than Sunny Ramadin and Alf Valentine at their best. What is the rest of the story? Was there a covering letter? Did other councillors receive the same? Come on Paul, give the full story for a change.

he gets four free tickets ... a chance to clear the air and prove that he's not a pompous, arrogant, story spinning git and what does he do? Rudely refuses this olive branch and has the cheek to post it on our forum... by the way, bravo BFR for your post, was extremely impressed

Was there any point in posting this, Paul? We know you don't really give a toss about the club, and then you wonder why people dislike you and complain about you. As people have said above, you reap what you sow. If you were trying to help in any way, you wouldn't have posted this.

Our 'friend' is trying to indicate his thanks for someone sending him the tickets...
