You actually stated that the amount was 800k 'needed' I believe that was the correct terminology. Were the clubs accountants at that meeting, No, were signed off statements of affairs presented to the meeting, No, was the meeting offical, No, were the shareholders present, No. In fact, whatever that meeting was, it didn't in any way reflect the views or wishes or financial position of Hornchurch Football Club Ltd or indeed that clubs owners did it.? I sincerely hope and trust that Hornchurch Football Club (UK) Ltd (previously Hornchurch United (UK) Ltd) wasn't on the agenda that night keemo.

This is a public forum and you really wouldn't want other clubs readers to get the wrong impression would you.? No, of course not.

Unless you have proven audited figures to support your statement, I suggest you keep wise council. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sorry Raver, your post arrived after I had answered Keemo, yes of course I recall the event, you were off on holiday the next day and we received forum updates as to what happened to the shirt during your travels. It was indeed the first two shirts of that batch.

Seems like yesterday. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I think you are quite correct Urchinette many things shouldn't be spoken about on here, this in particular...

But following on with your general feelings, you appear to me to be very much on the defensive all the time...I cant say that i've seen many people on here knocking you guys...

As i said before everyone i have spoken to appreciates all that you and Unc have done...all any of the fans want is for the club to continue and prosper and i cant see anyone disagreeing...

There appears now to be lots of bitching going on, both on here and at the ground. For the sake of the club this needs to stop...

We all want the same thing.

I'm not even gonna start on the latest rumour i heard this week, but thats all the club seems to be full of these days rumours and hearsay...

If we are all gonna fight can we not all fight for the same cause, that being Hornchurch Football Club

Well I most certainly am not on the defensive Keemo, in fact more the opposite I would say. And tell us who is saying all these negative things that you refer to. Most certainly not Unc or I as we haven't been at the club or indeed on here.

Perhaps you could PM me and enlighten me.

I'm not suggesting you two have been saying anything negative, simply there are so many rumours going around about the club, surely you must know what effect so many rumours about the same thing can have, particularly of late. Fair play some do not directly involve the 'club' so to speak.

When are you and Unc going to make a return to the club?

As I understand things Keemo (and Unc doesn't tell me everything) there are a few options in his head and he's considering what to do next. I know that he thinks the two Garys and the rest of the staff have been great and he wants to try and do the right thing for the club. Don't forget what he's had to go through here and never once has he asked for sympathy or understanding, just taken it all on the chin and got on with it all.

You're guess at the present is as good as mine. We'll see shortly I'm certain as I know that Unc has spoken to GC and they are going to meet this week to discuss all the issues.

And one thing is for sure, when he sees all this lot in the morning he is going to go ape [censored]. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

We should not be pointing the finger at anyone in my eyes. Eveyone has a point of view on the so called goings on at the club and these will continue unless a club offical puts everyone staright. My name has be branded about and i have had to defend and explain myself to certain members of staff and believe t's not nice!!!!

Regarding the forum it has lost it and is out of control as NO one is keeping check on it in my eyes. This is causing friction between a number of people and if not sorted out the forum will just die. What's the point of posting something if you are going to get slagged off for it......it's all bollox.

I think there's lots of valid points being made here.

Firstly, in terms of the future of the club I don't think it matters when fans started supporting the Urchins (for the record I too came to Hornchuch 'back in the day' when we were really crap and the clubhouse was indescribable in comparison to what it is now) so as long as they are supportive in all aspects of the club and get behind the team. I do think it has relevance tho when it comes to commenting on the work done up to the season. I'm what you would call a new fan and so do not really know how dire things were before Unc got involved. And I haven't been to many away grounds yet but the ones I have been too are nothing compared to what we have at Bridge Ave. So well done to all involved in that. So I am not going to comment on the recent events as I really don't know enough.

There are a number of rumours/stories/specualtion going round all the time regarding the debt numbers, possible takeovers and players, i guess all aspects! Which I guess is to be expected with all that's happened. These can only really be confirmed or denied by the club - and I for one do not expect the club to respond to every rumour, etc. Its the same with all clubs no matter how big/small. There could be better information flow from the club tho which would give fans the confidence to dispell rumours straight off confident in the knoweldge that the club will let us know what is going on. But as Unc has said a few times already on here that there are things that cannot be revealed yet and maybe not at all, and as this is the business of the shareholders, etc then fair enough. I'm sure much more will come to the surface as and when time allows.

I think everyone wants to help and get involved and maybe this has been misinterpretated by some. I just think we should all get behind the team on the pitch (whoever plays), spend plenty of money in the bar, and try to get as many friends rellies etc to get their butts down to bridge ave and create more new fans.

The people involved with running the club seem to have done a pretty good job so far so lets let them get on with it and keep up the good work.

I don't post on here very often but I do read most posts. I don't think that I have seen any posters "pushed" off here.... ? And I don't really recall anyone getting shouted down. Differences in opinion are healthy as is open discussion. I would hope that anyone with views and discussion points wishing to post do post...

Apologies if I've waffled / not made sense or contradicted myself (I'm trying to work at same time).

Its totally and utterly irrelevant who's been going to Hornchurch the longest, who was there in 2001 and who's there on the 2nd Tuesday in March 1964, I and most people couldn't give a stuff!! I didn't know we where running a competition here to find the clubs most loyal and long serving supporter????? It’s like the old school ground argument of my Dad's bigger than your Dad! Blimey, grow up!

Anyway, fair play to anyone that gives up time to help and support this club, no matter how big or little their contribution might be. No one should be slated for that, a man that earns £100 a week and gives away say £10 to a cause is just as generous as a man that earns £1m a week and gives £100,000 away!

As for the forum, that’s a completely separate issue to the predicament the club finds itself in. In my opinion it went down hill months ago, when certain people started to jump on others for making a comment or view! It’s meant to be a forum where views and opinions can be exchanged, not necessarily agreed with, but exchanged without insults and abuse flying in response!!!

I say, I do seem to have created something of a furore, all I did was enquire as to player fitness. Oh well, I see from another thread that Tarks is almost fit again as he turned out for the youths last night, hopefully he'll be fit enough to play some part at Eastbourne on Saturday. Cheers!

P.S. Lord, I wasn't aware that you were planning on returning for the season finale, in which case I shall look forward to seeing you graciously accept Tark's shirt in person.

Couldn't agree with you more LU. I felt that on Saturday we missed the experience at the back of Scotty or Lockey. The chap who played right back, Makitu, was ok, but he did not look very composed on the ball and didn't really add anything going forward. ALthough I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as I'd not seen him play before.
