Totally pointless predicting when we'll know soon enough, However, I'm going to predict all the same, just so I can be wrong.

We've known for some time that Welling were eyeing Adey up. In fact the rumours started before Paul Parker left, so I have a hunch that Paul McCarthy may have joined us with an eye to more than just a playing role.

OK, that's my conspiracy theory side making a prediction. My Captain Sensible side says Ron Hillyard.

That is NOT good news. Whilst Andy has a knack of spotting good new signings, the spirit in the dressing room is largely down to Ade. For continuities sake, the only sensible action would be to promote Ron Hilliard, at least until May.

Having McCarthy and Bunce around should also be an immense help to Andy and should cover what no doubt will prove to be a significant loss to Fleet.

My very best wishes to Ade, I reckon Welling should do well with him at the helm, he had a fine teacher!

Best of luck Ade.

As much as I liked him as a player and his motivation of players, I don't think this move will affect us too much. Our defensive abilities have not improved greatly since his appointment to AM.

Great opportunity for Ade but another backroom change for the Fleet is concerning.

Oi , until a couple of years ago you couldnt have licked Wellings boots. We are on the comeback to where we belong the Conference.

That was then. Remind us when you get back.

Anyway, most of that time weren't you chaps evading relegation by various adminisitrative means?

if we look at welling's squad from saturday we can see:

mitten, watts, lee and booth (G&N)

browne, day, spiller and tyne (dover)

slatter and wiles (chelmsford)

hale and hambley (havant & w)

smith (loan/work experiance)

others from reserve team.

as you can see our squad of 13 first teamers is made up of players that have played for 5 clubs between them so to try and claim the credit of dover and and chelmsford's ex players is just rude.

its common knowledge ade wanted to play shearer to play but then he was not allowed to pick the team
