Not up to my usual standards ( <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ), but that was because I didn't have my notebook with me <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Anyway, here it is in full:

Salisbury city 0-0 Slough Town

The first match of 2005 brought terrible weather, a hard-fought match and a goalless draw between Salisbury City and Slough Town.

The wet and windy conditions made any good football impossible, and it showed with both teams having limited goalscoring opportunities.

Salisbury were woeful in front of goal, and should have put themselves out of sight by half-time. Having said that, Slough should have scored a couple towards the end of the first-half, but preferred to walk the ball into the goal rather than shooting.

Half-time: Salisbury City 0-0 Slough Town

The second-half brought no change in the weather, but some entertaining and end-to-end football.

Salisbury had their fair share of goalscoring chances, but Slough didn't really look like scoring themselves despite threatening the hosts goal several time during the second-half.

The closest the Rebels came to scoring was a Steve Daly shot from a corner been cleared off the line.

Salisbury could have stolen it right at the end, but somehow managed to waste two or three good chances.
