The leader of the T.D.C says things must "be seen to be viable". Is that monstrosity on the pier going to be viable? No, and its a fact that it wont be.

He also says he has to be careful as he is "accountable to the people".I sincerely hope he remembers HIS words, not ours, in the future because that may well come back to haunt him if he dosent allow the people of thanet, not just football fans, to have a football club in our town. He will be MADE accountable should we cease to exist or at the least get back home to Hartsdown..

So long as the funds are there, and this HAS been proven, then he and his posse have no right to deny us our rightful place in the town.

Shape up Sandy or ship out. The area needs a caring council not a foolhardy and ignorant one.

Moaning about the Turner Centre is not going to get us anywhere. Politicians have always looked more favourably on middle-class pastimes than those enjoyed by the plebs. It's unfair but life is often unfair!

How about we try to do something constructive? Instead of posting messages on here, write to/e-mail the council (nothing offensive mind) expressing your concerns and backing the club.

The more we go on about the Turner centre the more chances we have that they may come to their senses about it. Frankie is totally correct in what he says. The comparisons MUST be made and anyway I really dont want that thing here anyway regardless of the clubs position. Lets hope we see an end to plans to build an art centre and a start on a re-build of a football club..Keep that pressure up in whatever way we can. Maybe the council will see sense eventually concerning both.

The comparisons with the Turner Centre DO NOT STAND UP!!!! Nothing as yet has been started on the project. No one has dug up the harbour , demolished the stone pier or stopped the tide from coming in or any thing!!!!.Also after reading todays Gazette .Is it any wonder the Council are wary of the whole scheme? Although I am a supporter of the club now for over 48 years ,I am not so sure.Who exactly are all these new companies that are involved( I have never heard of them before)Only one name keeps cropping up .The guy who is apparently abroad .There must be others involved. Also the threat to take trhe council to courtbecause " They are not acting in good faith".Is this a legal phrase, something that warrants court action and would indeed stand up in a court of law .I DOUBT IT!!!!! No as I say I speak solely off my own back, as A LONG STANDING SUPPORTER (I will be at Welling tomorrow)I am totally dismayed and disgusted that MY BELOVED CLUB THAT BELONGS TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF MARGATE has been TOTALLY DESTROYED both on and off the pitch by what I am sure eventually will be proved to be shheer capital gain and greed by certain individuals.I am very sorry to sat this at this time but it is how I feel.HOWEVER UP THE GATE COME ON YOU BLUES !!!!!!!!

The art centre is being built by KCC on land GIVEN to them by Thanet Council. Half of the land is not needed and WILL be sold on by KCC.

KCC have confirmed that the art centre WILL be built at whatever cost (paid for by all Kent ratepayers)

And Thanet let this scheme through at one planning commitee meeting. Strange that.

I have documentary prove of this information and have previously posted some of it on the messageboard
