FANS' CRITICISING THE TEAM

MIKE PERRY

Recommended Posts

There have been several posts having a go at fans criticising the players. I would make the following points:

1/We pay our admission, buy programmes and lottery tickets so are supporting the club financially.

2/ We travel fair distances to get to the games thus incurring further expense.

3/ We cheer and applaud when the team/player(s) are playing well and are putting the effort in.

With these points in mind surely a fan like myself and the others who were vociferous at the Welling game is entitled to shout at any player he or she feels is not performing as well as they should be. I am tired of the excuses Kinnear keeps giving to explain the increasingly poor performances from the team (the off field shenanigans, injuries/illness, state of the pitch). There are many players in the squad who have played at a higher level so it is obvious that they are under performing. Maybe the management should take a leaf out of some of the supporters books and start throwing some tea cups around in the dressing room. Kinnear is too nice to the players. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism and there are players who need a good kick up the backside. Some posts said it hurt to hear the criticism but it hurts me and others to see so called talented players clearly under performing. Chris and the players have the ideal opportunity to silence their critics with a win at Welling on Saturday and, believe it or not, I will be cheering with joy just as much as anyione else if they do!

Be realistic mate you have 2 points from 18 and Welling are on form ,Unbeaten under Daish and will strongly fancy their chances of a comfortable victory on Saturday having dominated for 75% at your gaff.
