I was more than a little surprised that the gate was only 1300 plus. There appeared to be more than that from where I was standing. Any views.

 

Do they use gate receipts to calculate number of punters in the ground, or are all, including season ticket holders counted through the turn stiles.

 

Incidentally, back in the summer I had to squeeze past a turnstile that had jambed so I wouldn't have been counted.

Mind you, whose bright idea was it for Accy to travel to us on a Bank Holiday? That Conference computer needs fixing!

Think these long journeys are a result of Boxing Day League fixtures from the bad old days of hooliganism. The Boxing Day games used to be local matches but the trouble at some games led the league in their infinite wisdom to change things to discourage away fans.

 

I dont see this should mean long distance games at our level, particularly now that hooliganism is a somewhat lesser issue, but we all know the Authorities are somewhat slow to recognise these things to say the least !!
