I agree that we supporters pay our entrance fee so have a right to critisise and though the performance today was in part disapointing, given the conditions, the players fitness(Greg Oates was realy struggling,he was having trouble breathing, coughing his guts up,and holding his chest. Bill came on suffering from a virus, listening to him speaking and breathing before the game i was amazed he was even on the bench).I like you felt frustrated but taking it out on the team and management and walking out befor the end is not the answer. We are lucky to still have a team of any sort to support we need the cash the development agreement will bring to give our under manned hard pressed squad some relief and the boost to push the club up the table to safety. Lets hope the Cecil squareites take heed of the letter sent to them by the solicitors and published on the official site. Come on the gate ONWARDS and UPWARDS. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Well said blueblood some old boy really peed me off behind me moaning and barracking all second half. Just shows you have a bigger crowd and it attracts a few who sometimes come and they moan and barrack. That hurt.

Stop with the excuses. Today we sat back for possibly 65 out of 90 minutes. We were far to deep and the players didnt have the skill or endeavour to make a game of it. WhaTever you use as excuses the fact is that we did it against Weymouth so we should be doing it again. We weren't in the game until the last 15 minutes. We could well have been 5 or 6 down by then. How we ever managed in those final 15 minutes to get a goal back, then to nearly get the draw, and even then to come close to actually winning it, beggars belief. If we had got a point even it would have been an injustice. Come on stop giving out poxy excuses for a lack of commitment, flair, lack of talent and too much defending. . . ON THE DAY!!!

I applaud your sentiments and your belief.I too believe there is a lot more in the locker but for goodness sake be truthful about todays performance. It was awful and embarrassing to watch. We have to step up to that other gear, move forward as a team and get at others defences instead of them getting at ours.

Together with the above something has to be sorted out about those high balls into our box. No-one is taking charge. Their first goal, everyone just stood and watched as the guy headed the goal. Maybe they were waiting for each other to head out I dont know but someone has to take charge on these balls. Someone has to get to the ball first. Everytime a ball goes in the air you can see spectators holding their breath at every cross."can't look" comes to mind. Its the same old story. High balls and we are up the creek. There is no positive movement to the ball. You just watch and you will see all the players looking at the man instead of concentrating on the ball. Sometimes the ball is crossed, especially from corners and some players don't even realise the ball is around them, as they are too busy concentrating on where the man is.If they watch the ball it dosent matter where the guy is that defender will get to the ball first. This needs sorting as teams are using this to their advantage.

we were terrible yesterday we all know the pitch was bad but that didnt stop welling from playing a semi decent game off footy against us,

I more less expect a goal from any corner against us, have done most of this season we are so inept at defending set peices.

We sat two deep for most of the game and our are offence was minimal to say the least the balls in two our front men are S*** and when we do make the odd good one it falls to rocky who take's so many touchs on the ball before he decides to try for a shot the defender's or the keeper have usally it taken it of him the guy f***ed up two sitters yesterday.

The last two games i have made it two have been dredfull (hornchurch & welling) we really look like a team heading for relagation ill be there on the 1st but tbh ill expect the same sort of performance from the gate.

Dear Cookie, there is a large divide between a reason and an excuse, given different circumstances i would agree with you. BUT given the on going situation i am afraid i Cannot. Do you not think the players and management are not aware that they to do not feel.I shall long remember the look on CK's face as he looked into the stand after one verbal shower of [****!!****] from a spectator. Ask your correspondent at tdc what he feels the solution is?.

Excuses again.Am not a fan of Ezekiel and his cronies as you know but playing like that had absolutely nothing to do with him or his council, the ground situation or anything else.It was a bad performance and nothing else. The players need to buck up and start fighting, start wanting to win and start playing to their strengths and not to their weaknesses otherwise we will have got a new ground for nothing. What a waste that would have been then. No I still think we will stay up but I have been wrong before. Whilst a new ground is everything to us all relegation to a lower league would make it a hollow victory. Lets not go the same way as Dover. Down down deeper and down. Correct the performances on the field NOW. I have my mortgage at stake after all. HA HA

I believe we will have to beg to differ on this one "cookie". I think our time would be better spent putting our differences aside, instead coming up with some positive ways of demonstrating our displeasure with the politicle side of the council. From what was said at the game by certain people it seems the agenda is for the club to collapse, and the tdc to come galloping out of the ashes with an offer of a new stadium for both Margate and Ramsgate to share in the kent league. With a lot of spin, they the council will look to be the hero. This is only my interpritation of what was said. To me it is unacceptable. I would love to see our reprsentatives dragged through the courts and shown up once and for all,but does the club have the time.At the moment i would say it is not so much about whether the club will stave of relegation it is once again whether we will have a club.Maybe it could be time for one of the fence sitting directors to stand up and give the gate a chance. Come on JP stop playing and commit. UP THE GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE.

The building of Westwood at the expense of Ramsgate and Margate town centres has finally done what 30 years of local council amalgamation could not.

Thanet Council was created in 1974 merging Margate,Ramsgate and Broadstairs Councils together but since then it was still a them and us situation between the towns. By killing the towns off and starting again in the heart of the island we now have the town of Thanet with people living in the outlying towns and having to shop and work in the centre. The more that is built in Westwood the less will go to historical centres. Ramsgate will have its quaint harbour and Margate its lovely modern art centre.

But at what price?? (and not just financial)
