Man-of-the-match v welling

Voted JK the only gate player on the pitch who seem to make any effort yesterday he made a few dodgy passes but he made up for it with his constant disruption of alot of the welling play through the middle.

Really does look like the only player with any passion on the pitch at times.

Difficult to pick a man of the match for this one as didn't see any notable performances - my vote goes to Trego - without whom it could have been worse!

I thought Alex gave a good account of himself, he is coming on as a player this season, I think.

I am hoping to god we release him when we get this extra cash.....he is awful.

SOrry to disagree with your point my friend!

Agree Margatefan that Alex deserves some plaudits-also Benivedes. I don't necessarily think they played particularly well but they chased lost causes, broke a sweat and showed commitment which is a minimum requirement in my book. Others could look at these boys and think o.k. we're playing sh*t but we can hassle and make some effort and maybe get something from the game that way. Arsenal v West Brom would be an example of what sheer effort can achieve..Thought Watson looked keen as well. I think we'll bounce back and beat Welling on new years day-we certainly need something to brighten the new year.Onwards and Upwards.

We get knocked down but we get up again-you're never gonna keep us down. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" />

Well said, Hornet, and I don't think we should forget that we got beat by Gravesend twice over Christmas last year but found a seam of form in the New Year that lifted all our spirits up.

I hope we can come back again in the away match, but whatever happens I keep my faith in the team. We have taken so much on and off the pitch but we always seem to come back.
