i thought protheroe was brilliant in this game, as we seem to be lumping it long as a rule now would you not rather hacve prothers do it rather than moore or gledhill? his right boot is awesome. played very well i thought. moussa is not always the answer, and he did get the ball sometimes, but other times a cross field ball or one to roy looked like the better option imo.

Maybe, but wouldn't it be better for us to stop playing the long ball game altogether, since it rarely seems to work for us?

true, but when we do, and we always do lump it forward, i wuold sooner have prtohs behind it than the others.

Think Drury has played well the last couple of games, lost it slightly on New Year's day, after he put that shot somewhere in the Crawley fans rather than the back of the net. That's two penalties that he's won us in the past few games, McAllister's attitude was a bit strong for my liking though, snatching the ball away like he did. Aslo, did people see what the stanley player was doing to the penaly spot. a bit of gamesmanship there methinks.

Very funny, I'm admitting it though aren't I? he was leaning back when he struck the ball, and that was what caused it to go into the Crawley fans behind the goal rather than hit the back of the net!

Other than that, he's played well over the festive period.

Well, surprisingly, it does, can, and has happened! That's my one and only criticism of him from the Crawley game, that he was leaning backwards when he struck the shot rather than distributing his weight evenly over the ball.
