why don't we get rid of him,he's crap.he covers no ground what so ever and just goes back everytime he gets the ball.he's not a tough tackler he's just dirty and will give someone a serious injury one day.why on earth did we get him back?

Oh and anyway, he is composed on the ball, can play a bit and does add to our midfield. Not quite as good as Wilko at what he does, not quite as good as Hakki or Harris at what they do, but a perfect foil to play alongside either or both. Certainly no reason to get rid of him.

I am not Mets biggest fan but he does have an important role in the team. I think he looked a more complete player in his first spell at the club but he is a tough tackler and a hard worker and I know many fans who appreciate that.

 

It would also help anon if you gave yourself a name so we could tell whether you actually attend any games.

Its all very well saying get rid of this player or that player. Any one of our players could be left out (except Saulsbury who is God) but only if there's a viable alternative.

 

In the case of Mets, I cannot see a better alternative to play the role he plays all the time Wilko is injured. This is very possibly Wilko's last season anyway <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> so we have to have Mets in the team. Come on, anon, where's a better alternative than Mets?

He probably doesn't know. More than likely, he's a Windsor fan who has picked up on a name and seen if he can stir some trouble through getting us to say we don't like 'player a'.

Anyone who has seen us play without Mets and Wilko will see how fragile our midfield looks without a ball winner. Mets sometimes gives stupid passes away and lets things get to him, but a good player, although I agree yet to see the best of Mets this season...

Metcalfe has often been disappointing. Thinking back to Gary's 10 questions a while back, I almost put Metcalfe as most disappointing player but thought it would be a bit harsh. Thing is though, this poster is entitled to his/her own opinions, even if we don't all agree (and I'm not sure either way) but I agree that they should put a name to it at least.

No need to shout. Wilko's been saying for the last two years that "this one could be my last". The number of games he's missed this year suggests this really could be the one although I'll be desperately sorry if it is.
