Regrettably wasn't a good omen, we lost 3-1, Ziggy scoring a consolation late on! Hopefully the New Year will bring better luck!

Just wasn't to be tonight. A very good game with opo's at both end. In the end [censored] happens as it has done to us for the last couple of weeks and we come out losing........i doubt it will be the same result on sat........gutted from hornchurch!!!!

 

 

I must say though there keeper is a complete [****!!****]....giving it large in the players tunnel!!!!

Agreed- the turning point was midway in the first half when the home keeper handled the ball at least a yard outside the penalty area and got away with it - (we were exactly level with the 18 yard line and he was well outside the box).

 

There were four corners in the first five minutes for Urchins but they could not finish the moves off.

 

Likewise in the second half, several chances went begging in front of goal - both Ziggy and Andy D were only inches away from connecting. Shipp had a good shot saved, and we are both certain that Tony Maynard's shot was handled in the box.

 

But Stortford took what few chances they had - Urchins missed theirs.

 

Does anyone know where Jake Whincup and Mark Westhead have got to ?

It was a good game, I feel we need to find another YOUNG midfielder like Mr Forbes who can run at defences, Forbes produced some excellant chances from the leftside of the pitch.

Boniek Forbes, don't know anything about him, but he looked interesting.

He played for Leyton Orient, and was released at the end of last season - he later played for Redbridge FC. (Ford Utd's Redbridgen not Dagenham & Redbridge)
