A side made up mainly of triallists and ex-PASE players beat Gt Wakering Rovers 4-0 tonight with goals from Craig Wilkins 15 mins and Adolf Amukua 45, 61 & 79 minutes.

Adolf's second goal was a solo effort beating three players before scoring, and his third goal was laid on by another triallist Tostao Kwashi.

The side was:

Lee Hockey

Perry Spackman

Tostao Kwashi

Steve Searle

Subs

I assume Steve Searle is the guy who used to play for Sittingbourne and has been at Barnet since. ( I know he obviously played last night as well)

If so, he was obviously held in high regard at Barnet, although he was unfortunate to suffer lengthy injury problems over the last 2 seasons.

The Barnet site says they wanted to keep him (and indeed expected to do so) but despite the fact that they had stood by him throughout his injury problems, he turned an offer of a new contract down.

As I noted in a previous thread, Andy sounds as though he's going to have a tough job deciding which trialists and youth players to take on it sounds as though Mr Adolf Amukua could be useful as well - although judgement would need to be reserved until he has played against a stronger opposition ( I guess Andy will be keen to throw him into the fray against Gillingham ?)

No doubt Mr Ford will come up with the right decisions, however - I dont think anyone can fault him on his player choices thus far.

I understand that he couldn't agree terms with Cambridge either, so it sounds unlikely that he has a long term future here.

Still you never can tell, he may find he likes it here so much..............

My friend Jeeves tells me that Tostoa Kwashi was playing for Fisher last season, although I can't recall if he played against us.

The Fisher website that I have found provides a wealth of information here well a photo anyway.

Adolf took all 3 of his goals well and it was his header that gave Wilko an easy tap in from 6 yards.

First Adolf goal - he was put through over the top and side foot volleyed it over the onrushing keeper.

Second Adolf goal - ran around 3 players including the centre half twice before rounding the keeper and slotting it in the bottom corner.

Third Adolf goal - Tostao broke into the box and the keeper dealt well with his powerful drive but couldn't stop Adolf cheekily backheeling it into the net from the rebound.

It must be noted that after each of his goals his surname was pronounced a different way by the tannoy announcer who was only marginally better than that idiot at Aldershot.
