re: Wycombe

Yeah mate. There used to be loads. I remember a game between us in the conference during the early 90s.

A load of Slough were refused entry into the ground so they decided to try and boot the gates in.

Scuffles outside during the match I recall.

They never really showed at Wexham though. Good decision as well. Good times <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/yay.gif" alt="" />

It was kept away from the ground because of the police. Closer to the cinema.

Was with a tidy group of Langley lads ( about 25) and five good lads from the Maidenhead area who follow Slough.

Similar numbers of Wycombe but they didn't really seem to want to know and we backed them off pretty sharpish. They were the days when you could get away with that sort of thing without getting section 60d.

They are active at times depends on the game.

They were more prevalent during the conference days besides I think most of them followed Premiership teams first and foremost.

Heard of some scuffles outside Donkey House after Walsall game with some Midlands lads. But it's been quiet for a while.

The last time they were most active would've probably been the game against Cardiff.

Anyone remember the Welsh Dragon pinned to the fence on the Cardiff side and the St Georges pinned on the home end with ob in the middle.

two or three seasons ago, we (Braintree) were playing Maidenhead away last day of the season when trouble kicked off in a pub, the ironic thing was that the lads watching it also follow Colchester and Wycombe, so an incident where it was not about the two teams competing. (Colchester and Wycombe have a huge hatred from Conf. days)

It was the pub, opposite Maidenhead train station. sorry can't remember the name, there is only one pub in Maidenhead i can remember the name of: The Honeypot. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chloe.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chloenurse.gif" alt="" />

It ended with some bouncers throwing them into the road. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Curious as to why someone has dragged up alleged incidents of hooliganism from the past, and that there has been a sudden flurry of anonymous posts from people talking about these events. At a time when we need to get the council on our side, we really don't need this. And it's worth stressing that STFC has had NO crowd trouble reported in the recent past, though I can't claim to know anything about the days of the derbies with Wycombe back in the early 90's.

Agreed Matt - have to say I find a lot of these anonymous posts highly questionable and suddenly my argument against compulsory registration on the site looks flimsy.

There has been no reported trouble in an exceptionally long time. I am unaware of any trouble at Wycombe Slough matches and whilst I always remember the terraces being crowded I don't remember any touble.

Perhaps the anons would be so kind to go [censored]-stir elsewhere.

So it did happen ages ago. The council cannot raise it against you. I'm sure if you look deep enough into the history of any club or anything with a long history there will be a few things to be less than proud of but that's life.

As a Windsor fan i can say Slough are not thugs...even if they wanted to be <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

If this got in the hands for Stokes and co they'd go..."Give a [censored]"

Well i was following Slough all through the 90's and i never saw an acts of violence and/or hooliganism and i was right behind the gosl with the younger (more agressive fans) For FXXX sake i mean i would not have been allowed to go all round the country with the Supporters club from the age of 12 if there was any hint of violence, i agree the influx of anon posters here does make me think smear campaign!
