Mascot

Listening to comments by the visiting supporters, like "He looks a right wally, whats the connection". Is it possible that we be released from the embarrassment of having that Peter Pan reject in his silly suit running all over the pitch prior to the match. (Or play him up front)

Show me a mascot that isn't naff. You should see the couple they've got at West Ham: a bloke dressed up as a hammer and a 7 foot teddy bear. The former, ok, but a bear? What's all that about?

Jc's right, Graham put a lot of effort into the mascot idea and most people were behind it as well. Hats off to the fella. I want to see Hooky beating the living crap out of Burton's Billy Brewer one day. Now that would be entertaining!!

In fact, we could invite visiting teams' mascots to games and have a WWF style punch up in the centre circle at half time! How about it?! Mind you, I'm not sure what Hooky would do with Tamworth's mascot. Isn't it a sheep.....?

Anymore naff mascots about. Genuine only

Gillingham (with all their pikey connections!) have a horse! Which is fantastic, especially when coupled with the fact that it wears a baseball cap with the letter 'T' on it, obviously for 'Traveller'...... Am not too sure if they realise how much fun this provides away fans!!

Totally un called for, he does a great job, giving his own time and effort, and all at his own expense,as it wasnt cheap to set up either. As for peter pan reject, well my daughter would argue with you on that one...........

We got ourselves a Mascot this season, opened it up to the local Schools to design the best one, invited the 5 finalists down to Cressing Road for a game and then invited the winning 9 year old girl to an opening game presentation of her design:

"BILLY THE BRAINTREE BULL"

We did some leaflet drops in Town and some of the kids, say "look mummy there's a cow", where I shout out it ain't a cow it's a Bull. (Ours aint naff.) (it has a horn and a tail, looks good)

Does anyone know when they do the Mascot Racing?

Is it open to Non League Clubs?

(As I have only seen Watford, Peterborough etc)

Sorry I won't be at your game as I am a Braintree Town Supporter, came on this thread because it mentioned Mascots and we were looking for assistance finding out about the races.

Thanks if you could point me in the right direction, I was part of a 3 man team from Braintree Town Supporters Club that organized our Mascot, I visited the Schools and try to get a volunteer from our Supporters so we can have a Mascot for each game, plus for our Shoot for a Meal competitions as "Billy the Braintree Bull"

Goes in Goal.

I would appreciate any help you can give. Plus I understand you do not wish all and sundry to have these details my email address is below. Thankyou.

One of the many things that has so far failed to materialise at Margate was a mascot.

I think getting a ground is a tad more important to us, but in fairness the Parmenters were advocating an Alligator.

It was going to be MarGATOR.

Actually thought it would be a pretty good mascot-not to friendly like many-had some bite about it.

Unfortunately without a ground, Margator has had rather a long cold snap.

Hopefuly he can rise from the current swampland of Hartsdown Park in the near future
