Some fans will look at your situation with Margate. Why did you resign from their club? Can you clear that one up, because it's always one that seems to crop up?

 

The ground situation at Margate is well documented and while the project was being managed for the club by other directors it was becoming a full-time job to be chairman.

 

This meant a conflict of interest with my main business, which had to come first as you would expect.

 

I resigned because I felt that I could no longer dedicate the time required to do the job properly. Other directors carried on and it looks as though they may be successful. I wish them all the best.

Can understand his reasons as he says. but there is no mention about the TIMING of his resignation, on the eve of a massive council meeting. His defection surely put this club back a few strides because of his sudden exit.To me THAT is the thing that I need to know about more than the reasons he has stated.

He was at Dover first and that is where his heart really is. He always wanted to run that club. Good luck to him. Let's hope it works out for Dover.
