Hereford commentary

Sunning himself in foreign climes apparently.

Good effort 1st half by the sounds of it with Roy hitting the post with a header, although Pullen has also made a couple of important saves.

Barnet losing 2-0 at home to Tamworth (and down to 10 men) is a real surprise - mind you, Carlisle are not taking full advantage being held 0-0 by Woking.

Really goes to show how tight this league is.

Final score 1-0 - when oh when are we going to get some luck ???

Unlucky or not, we didn't really deserve anything from the game yesterday, and hardly looked likely to score the equalizer. Indeed, there was little of note in terms of shots on goal from us, apart from Roy's header that hit the post and an effort from Jukebox from outside the area that was parried over.

Credit to McAllister - he had few chances of any note to score, but for a loan player who therefore has little attachment to the club, he certainly put in a lot of running and hard work.

Another frustrating game, just like Scarborough really - a fairly evenly-balanced first half, followed by the opposition taking control in the second and getting the winning goal, with us looking unlikely to pick up a point after that. Also, the defensive display was reasonable yesterday, but when Moore lunged in on Stansfield and missed, leaving him able to cross for Pitman to score, it cost us.

There seemed to be a lack of anybody wanting to take responsibilty in the area, right at the end 4 players chose to pass rather than shoot at goal.

McAllister worked hard and seemed willing to run down blind alleys and chase lost causes, his on the field demeanour reminded me of Rob Howarth but as soon as Mooreo dived in and missed the tackle a goal was on the cards with both Pitman and Hyde lurking at the back post to score. It was quite disappointing to see only one sub used when both Pinnock and Harrhy could arguably have had some impact.

Nice fish and chips though and a pleasant mini bus journey back.
