Having read all the messages today can we not all just move on! Dennis has gone to Maidenhead good luck to him, a number of our players are set to follow him, it happens at this level, unfortunately players (there are exceptions) play for managers rather than clubs. I personally would rather these players just move on, as I'm not at all interested in them. So to fans who have been coming onto the board from Maidenhead and Slough et al of course you are always welcome, but hey lets all move on whats happened has happened, personally I'm really looking forward to the Dave Carroll era, because I think he can lead us on to another level, I'm in no way envious of Maidenhead, quite the opposite am really looking forward to Dave's new era and all the talk about players moving on who cares, I can't wait to see who Dave brings in! And for the people who seem to be slagging off Malcolm, the guy isn't perfect (should see the programme!) but he's genuine, and loves the club passionately, everything he has put on here has been honest, he can only say what Dennis etc has told him, maybe he shouldn't have used the term 'illegal' but hey it happens, he was just trying to report the facts as he has been told. Remember if you look on Maidenheads website its one of the most out of date sites in the league, so personally I'd rather have our webmaster who keeps us uptodate (apart from when we lose which is usually a couple of days late with the reports!) than a certain conference south team that is usually out of date and haven't even covered the Greene story! To Slough fans we're looking forward to Boxing Day not gonna be easy after losing a few players, but I know Dave will have the players up for it, remember always beware of the wounded lion! So to everyone, lets all move and look to the future, and for Windsor.... a prosperous era under Dave Carroll. THE KING IS DEAD LONG LIVE THE KING!

Yes, very sensible comments. I can hardly remember who Windsor's manager was before Dave Carroll, and the only players I am remotely interested in are those who want to play for the Royalists. This is the Ryman League, not a soap opera! Support the team on the pitch and ignore everything else. Best for true Royalists to read other people's opinions here just for entertainment. Most do not warrant the dignity of a response, and those who do not wish Windsor well are best rebuffed by a simple zero in the reply column. Its the one response they will dislike the most.

Geggy, Decorum, thank you. At least someone understands where I am coming from.

 

All I have been trying to do is pass on the information I recieve from the people concerned.

 

If Den tells me he isn't going to Maidenhead then I will say Den has told me he isn't going to Maidenhead. I never said he was going, I said that he said he wasn't going.

 

As for players leaving, we all knew that if he left he would be taking players with him. I was never denying that fact. Again I was passing on information given to me by our club secretary and chairman who both said that no players had been released. That could have changed.

 

We cannot stop players who are not on contract from asking to leave. We can try and persuade them not to, but at the end of the day it is their choice. Our may issue is the way that this has been done and will be left to OUR chairman to decide if he wants to do anything about it.

 

But for your infotmation, one of those players that has been training IS on contract.

On the subject of moving on...Let's give the lads plenty of vocal support tommorow. Still confident of a win against an out of form Worthing side.
