Youth team

How comes Slough town, dont have a youth team set up at the club, surely this would bring in some good homegrown young talent to the club.

Anyway, a youth setup would be investigated heavily once the club's future has been secured with a facility back in Slough to host such sort of thing.

Finances are obviously an issue. But there is another problem. Nowhere to play. Stag Meadow is already coping with two first teams and two reserve sides - don't think they could also host youth set ups. And would Windsor let us? The talent is theirs to tap as they can support it.

 

If we had our own ground we would be able to support ourselves and become a financially viable club. We would then also be able to set up a youth team. It was not so long ago when at Wexham Park we had a good system of youth teams and a reserve side as well as the football in the community scheme. We then saw the likes of Lloyd Owusu, Matt Stowell and Rob Smith come through to play in the first team.
