How much for Hodgey?

Ian

5k? 10k? More? Well Watford have just been ordered by a tribunal to pay £2750 for Omari Coleman who they recently signed from Dulwich Hamlet. He was their version of Hodgey and their top scorer for a couple of seasons.

I'd have thought Hodgey's goals are worth more to us than £2000 and I suspect Dulwich are sitting there thinking the same about Coleman. What do I care though?! That's Coleman and Scott Fitzgerald from Northwood for less than three grand for the pair. Good work, Mr Lewington!!

You can't blame the club for the fee a tribunal sets, Roger. As for Scotty he wasn't under contract and Watford play a pre-season game at Northwood every single year which gives them more revenue than ten home games as they recognise the need to support local clubs.

And this from a closet fan of Arsenal who poach youngsters from all over Europe for nothing at all!!

I'll leave that assessment up to you, Charlie, with your female perspective but from a chap's outlook, he must be doing something right, and I think we all know what I mean!

I think I know what your asking Rog in which case the answer is: Fabregas (sp?) the 17 year old midfielder from Spain who Arsenal took on a free. Arsene Wenger has a truly great scouting network and he was playing for either Real or Barca's under 18 when he was spotted. They swooped in and offered him a deal before he signed pro forms.
