Player Movements

Due to the recent managerial changes there has been speculation as to which players will be leaving.

I can confirm that at the time of writing this that NO players have been released.

As you say once the 7 day approaches are over.

There were none when all this started and the fact that Dennis has 'taken' them to training on Tuesday does not automatically make them Maidenhead players.

Also you have to remember that one of these players are on a contract for which I hope we will be asking for a fee!!

Although I am not saying they won't go, as I have learnt, it is best not to shout about siging players until they are playing their first game.

Would suggest you check your facts about Maidenhead approaching Dennis illegally. Think you will find Jon Swan sought permission from your Chairman first. Also illegal approach does not come into it if the player initiated the first instance of a desire to move. And when has it been illegal to train with another club if you are not on a contract??? It is not.

Mal, just as a helpful suggestion, I think you should be very careful about putting messages about illegal approaches on a messageboard as they are the sort of comments that can get individuals into a lot of trouble. You I am sure know more about the Greene/Maidenhead situation than most, yet it isn't very clever on your part to write messages which are libellous if unproven. I'd suggest for your own personal good that you edit this post.

"You I am sure know more about the Greene/Maidenhead situation than most"

You must be joking..... That is what makes Mal's posts laughable... He does NOT know what is really going on.... Just fed tit bits.

Maidenhead and any other club are only allowed to approach 2 players from one club in the same season. Only one 7 day approach is allowed per calender month. This applies to contract or non contract players.

But, if a player (non contract) informs his club that he no longer wishes to play for them and asks to be de-registered (which the club is obliged to do on request). He is then free to sign for whoever he wishes.... There is nothing the other club can do about it....

That is why the better players are put on contract to stop this happening.

Response to Woody - Then there isn't a problem is there, though I would have thought there would be more appropriate channels to complain about such an approach, i.e. from the club to the league/FA rather than from the webmaster to an anonymous poster on the forum

It was a joke...... I am sure he does a very good job with the programme but at the minute he is feeding you mis-information. I think his heart is overiding his head. Understandable if he is passionate about your club. But he best be quiet. All will unfold over the nexr few weeks.
