I doubt this is true; i know Pamplin had no plans of going, and dont think massala did either. Be surprised Smith has gone by choice but wouldnt be surprised if it was Romford.

 

Did these players leave by choice? How do you know this?

Personally I think someone is trying to pull our plonkers. Lee is a good striker when on song, but I believe he would find it tough to get back into a Romford side when Friend and Clark are both fit. But nothing surprises me anymore in football and perhaps Steve Mosely IS lined up to move into the Brimmo hot seat.

I hjaven't posted on the speculation for the simple reason that I haven't heard anything apart from the Clarke rumour (and I've given my wiews on that)

I agree. I hope we haven't lost Smithy and Asa would be a loss too. As I ahve already stated, I do not want to see Clarke back at Town. I await an official response!

Lee Smith is a young man and still developing as a player. He is strong, fast and can head a ball. He is clever in possesion and able to beat a man. He gets into goalscoring positions and, unfortunately since his injury at the beginning of the season, he appears to have lost his shot though it is coming back. (Witness the two clatters against the bar in recent games).

 

The point I am making is that if Lee Smith has left the club he would not waste time at Romford. He can make it at a higher level than step 5 and I would expect him to go to a more senior club. It is for this reason that I doubt that he has gone. I dont think he would leave just because Clarke has come into the side as it is likely to give him more space.

 

I can understand him thinking about leaving after the Hendon game as he saw how teams play at higher levels in the Pyramid and he might want some of that. Stick with ETFC Lee and it will come.
