Of the three players reported to have left with Greene, only Kersey has played regularly this year (23 games, 2 goals); Ekwala has played 13 games and Clark only 1 away game, so most WEFC supporters have never seen him. Kersey and Ekwala are effective players at Ryman Premier level, but neither are obvious candidates for higher level football, they both joined WEFC this season, so it is likely that this was the highest level they were offered at the time. Greene and Ferguson have given good stability at Windsor, bringing one promotion helped by league reorganisation, and avoiding one relegation because of league reorganisation. Each of the last two seasons have been characterised by disastrous late-season runs, which obviously will not suit Maidenhead this time around. It is probably true to say that Greene would like his teams to play the type of football that players at this level are not capable of on a consistent basis. His teams have not been high tempo or kick and run. Greene does not stand on the touchline screaming obscenities at players and officials which is good if you are bringing kids to the game.

Greene has brought more good players to Windsor than poor ones; he has had some individual disagreements with players and some supporters believe that his team selections have been occasionally influenced by these disagreements over and above pure football decisions.

Although WEFC supporters wish Greene and Maidenhead well, it has to be said that it is difficult to see how Greene's appointment is consistent with the claimed ambitions of either party.
