Managerial Update

As most of you would have now worked out, Dennis Greene and Colin Ferguson have both joined Maidenhead United along with David Fouque.

 

Windsor & Eton FC have now named David Carroll as Caretaker Manager for the forseeable future.

 

At this time three players have joined Dennis at Maidenhead, Lee Kersey, Guy Ekwala and Dean Clark.

 

There are NO other confirmed departures as yet and I would appreciate that no names are banded around on here as to who is coming or going.

 

What we need now is stability and rumours won't help acheive that.

 

I will be speaking to Dave quite a bit over the next few days and will update this message when I have some news.

5 players may have turned up for training but I think you will find that now registrations or contracts have been cancelled.

at the moment. 3 definates including your new signing from northwood. Maidenhead suffered the same exodus when Alan Devinshire left. It happens at this level.

What a player wants and what he can do are totally different things.

 

There are procedures in place for this sort of thing that have been totally ignored by both Maidenhead and Dennis.

 

These players may want to join Maidenhead, but until the necesary paperwork is submitted and the registrations / contracts cancelled then they remain Windsor & Eton players!!

Maidenhead and any other club are only allowed to approach 2 players from one club in the same season. Only one 7 day approach is allowed per calender month. This applies to contract or non contract players.

But, if a player (non contract) informs his club that he no longer wishes to play for them and asks to be de-registered (which the club is obliged to do on request). He is then free to sign for whoever he wishes.... There is nothing the other club can do about it....

That is why the better players are put on contract to stop this happening.
