BBC Essex Radio reported this morning that Neil (Razor) Ruddock has been tipped to be the new manager of Cambridge City...............and that Justin Edinburgh would be joining him as his assistant.

I think you mean he has been linked with the Cambridge United Job.

 

As Gazza says why would Justin want to take a step down.

He is undoubtedly a talented young manager.

 

I would expect this kind of speculation to be the norm from now on. It's all good publicity for Billericay Town FC of course.

 

Cambridge ?? Maybe...but I think he would prefer to take Billericay Town into the conference, not Cambridge Utd.

Seriously though, it's all academic if Razer doesn't get the job at Cambridge and I don't think he will. Reckon they'll go for somebody with experience of a relegation scrap to get them out of the do do.

The problem in the longer term maybe that Justin is allowing his name to be used in this manner and that it could be used again in a successful application

By allowing his name to be used he is indicating a desire to get back into the full time game

I suppose we had better start looking for someone who has no desire to progress, is inconspicuous by a mid table position year after year, plays poor football, and only wants to work a few hour a week.

Well apparently (keep this between ourselves), but my mate, who knows a mate of a mate, who's mate knows some Portsmouth supporter who's dad is on the Pompey board, said Justin was seen at Portsmouth train station wearing a false moustache and comedy glasses with a big nose, talking to Milan Manderic through a newspaper with holes cut into it. Personally I reckon that's [****!!****] and he's after the Chelmsford job! Now that's ambition.
