With reports that people have been ringing Richard Stokes on his ansaphone and leaving foul and abusive messages....

 

Of course this is yet to be proved...however if you know of anyone doing this please ask them to stop this....

 

This does not help our cause and only hinders our plan of action to ensure that the problem of our aim to get Slough back into the town does not fade away..(under these types of alergations). We need to protest in a hard but fair way....

 

and by people playing into their hands, only helps them and not us !

 

I also have to say, the fact's still have to be proved that they are coming from Slough Supporters, they could be from any half wit with a axe to grind against the man, but our fight is not personal and I hope we will continue to campaign and campaign in a fit and proper manner.

But also if these accusations are still being made - we ask them to prove it and get the police involved to stop these culprits !

 

or else refrain from making such accusations in the first place with out proof ! or we might have to take legal action for those libal's comments....

 

It is time for action....and for all to look into a way to solve this problem.

When this came up last Friday following Cllr McIsaacs somewhat confusing letter in the Slough Express, several posters commented at the time in this thread http://www.nonleague.co.uk/forum/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/393776/an/0/page/0#393776

 

All we as individual supporters or the STST need to do is write to the papers or ask them to do a feature stating that IF it is happening then it is the work of an individual or individuals, that it is not organised or sanctioned either by STFC or STST and IF Cllr Stokes finds the situation offensive, then he should take the PROPER action in such cases which is to notify the police rather than get a 3rd party to make allegations in a local newspaper.......

 

I don't know if anyone wrote to the Slough Express following Cllr McIsaacs letter? BFR answered all the points raised by Cllr McIsaac extremely well........

Spot on Chris. Stokes and Janik accuse us of being pro Labour! Whilst I support the way that Cllr's Anderson and Swindlehurst have tried to come up with a decent solution I wouldn't EVER claim to be a Labour supporter. It's therefore even more disheartening for me personally to see Conservative cllr's being ignorant at best and arrogant at worst.

 

This has NOTHING to do with politics. This is about our and their football club, Slough Town. I couldn't care if the ruling council is made up of members of the bloody green party if they would just stop using us for their own political point scoring and proactively look for a solution. That's what the Labour council had previously tried to do.

 

If this whole situation has taught me anything it is NEVER to trust anyone involved in politics. They are all there for their own means and not for those they were elected to represent. That will remain my view until they actually DO SOMETHING to prove otherwise.

Back to the Dirty Tricks Brigade - as I said before no Politician does Nice - they don't understand the word. It could well be that Councillor Stokes has one of his yes men ring up, leave an abusive anonymous message claiming to be from the Club and Dick's your Uncle!

 

Good headlines for him and bad for us. So what to do? I really urge that the Club via Roy AND the Trust via the Chairman jointly should contact the local press with a press release (don't publish a letter!)to say that under no circumstances do we believe this is this anyone from the club and we totally condemn it. We are willing to cooperate in any way to identify the individual concerned and in the unlikely event it was shown to be someone claiming a connection with the club, they would be banned from anything to do with the Club, ever.

 

To protect the good name of the Club, we urge Councillor Stokes to take action through the proper authorities.

 

Please call them as soon as possible - strike whilst the iron is hot!

It could just be one idiot fan or even 'rival' although i doubt anyone hates or dislikes slough THAT much. It's a real shame if it's true. Ruining alot of hard work by people with a thoughtless phone call.

HI all, I and Roy have discussed this a lot this week - and Andrew makes good points...we have complained to the Express and some good should be repaired on Friday (I HOPE)

 

Its unfortunate that they let themselves be hood winked ! and Cllr Mac Issac needs to apologize too...as if you can not prove these allergations then you should not name our organisation as the so called "Culprits"...

 

but needless to say, the average person could see what they were upto and has back fired on them again...

 

The saying is give them enough rope and they will hang themselves !!!

Personally i agree with Andrew on this thread, its very easy to belittle the moanings of a group of individuals if you turn around and say you have been recieiving personal abuse to you home number.... hmmm very convienient if you ask me!

Marcus, surely when you say "ITS very easy..." there should be an apostrophe between the 't' and the 's' as you are saying it is. However, when writing a sentence such as 'The bear has lost its foot' you would not need an apostrophe between the 't' and the 's'. Don't rise to this bait it is the oldest trick in the book. It's called lateral deflection.

If you have a problem that is hurting you don't tackle it head on, choose a minor issue that is guarenteed to get your opponents backs-up, true or not does not matter. All you want is a denial which then becomes the story in peoples minds.

 

In this case the story order they have is:

1. Council abandons STFC

2. Stokes Lies./memory issues/dog impressions

3. Supporters trust cheated out of compensation money

and so on to

164. last summer Stokes said someone rang him late at night about the club

 

Now MacIssac puts in a letter mentioning abuse some 5 months later. We all go nuts demand an enquiry ask for evidence say we are determined to weed these people out if they exist.

 

Story Board from next week is.

 

1. Supporters deny being abusers

2. Promise to deal with ant-social element

3. Supporters offer to work with Cllr Stokes to stop abuse
