And while we're on the subject, I see that Wayne Andrews made his Premiership debut for Crystal Palace coming off the bench on 53 minutes in Saturdays game against...err...err..some other Premiership club. Blackburn?

There's something strange about Parker's departure and Hooper going back on the list but I guess we'll never know.

Oh, by the way. Thurrock are on a drive to attract more fans and the ground admission prices were reduced for last night's match. Down from £8 to £3 with £1 concessions. Big splash on Essex Radio, apparently.

It wont catch on.

I noticed that, two old Chesham boys in Andrews and 'one size' Fitz Hall.

How does the admission thing work then? The League minimum is £6.50 so do the club pay the extra £3.50 or something? Who do they pay it to? Do they need permission to do that or should they be docked points?

So many questions, so few answers... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

So many questions, Robster. "Don't know" is the answer to most of them.

I imagine that Thurrock 'advised' the League that they were to try out a special promotion on the admission prices and left it at that. Unlikely to have points deducted or face expulsion, I would think. Hardly a major misdemeanour.

I've just had a meeting with a client and solicitors over a dispute that may lead to litigation. [My involvement is very peripheral, I might add.]

Anyway, the solicitor was explaining the finer points of law at issue and was anxious to stress to the client that litigation is an uncertain [and costly] business. As we know, the outcome cannot be predicted with certainty. In conclusion, however, the Lawyer spoke of his training with large London law firm and the time when a High Court judge came to give a lecture on court proceedings. The judge said:

"When faced with two parties on opposite sides of a lawsuit, the most fundamental issue for the judge to address is this. Establish in your own mind which of the two is the biggest sh!t and then make sure that one loses."
