Apparently a couple of well-heeled Gents spoke to our players before the game and asked if they thought 3/1 was a fair price. On receiving the affirmative, they staked £100 on a Saints win and walked away considerably richer.

 

Rumours that one of them had a shock of blond hair and used to be 'something in double-glazing' are unsubstantiated.
