Got to agree with the treeman. This time of year there are so mnay demands on people's time that its difficult to to keep up with everything - I've missed a few games lately because I just have too much on and something has to give. Just unfortunate that this time its Hornchurch - next time it will be something else.

I could have had tickets for every Arsenal game this season - who I have supported since birth (I came out red and white - although I now realise that they were the red n white of Gary Hills army), but I have become bored with the gunners. The football they play is quality but they are not gonna get relegated and are prob gonna finish top 3 at worst. I find it hard to get excited about it - especially when Chelsea are buying the league. I would consider myself a Hornchurch fan first now gooner second.

nb. I know its hypocritical because we were trying to buy the league effectively. But the money we had would have taken to the third? who knows? still would have some way to go....

LU,

Like most people who attend the bridge and follow non league football, we are fed up with the premiership and the campionship. Most non league supporters just want to watch decent cut and thrust football, where they have a feeling of belonging and worth. Most premiership clubs just want your money.

Non league is also part of the quintesential thing of being British, where we like the underdog and the sense of fair play, hence why we love the FA cup and why we give referees such a hard time.

The world according to a cat!

wealden boys, you have to expect abuse when you dish it out.

if you actually read this thread rather than posting drivel on it, you will see that we are attempting to explain the drop in the crowd through discussion.

jog on now, muppett.

I first went Hornchurch about 15 years ago because my old man couldn't be arsed with the hassle of taking me to Highbury. We came on and off for a few years and then I could go Arsenal on my own. At the start of last season I thought I'd come over and see what was going on - I'd heard the bar had been done up but I didn't know how much money the club had had injected into it until I was there. The first few perfomances were pretty poor but I enjoyed it and kept coming over. And now I'm still coming over....

Sing when your winning?

The atmosphere at Bridge Ave is the best its been since I've been going so shove it up your [****!!****].

Spot on LU.

Best support I've seen at the Bridge and apparently a drop in crowds means less support!

It doesn't always work like that, and if people with opinions would come to the Bridge they would see the support we're giving the club. They will see that the real supporters are still here, singing whether we're 4-0 down or 4-0 up.
