Nicky Ironton's first game in charge

Well Nicky Ironton is now the manager of Hemel Hempstead Town and today was his first game in charge. Not an auspicious start Town lost 3-1 to Bath City.

 

The game was free flowing with fewer fouls than the ESL but surely that is to be expected as defenders are more skilfull and able to time their tackles better. When players were fouled there were few histrionics like ETFC the players just got up and got on with it. The crowd criticised one of the linos at times but I thought that he had a reasonable game. The ref himself kept up with the play spoke to players when necessary and only one player was booked.

 

All in all good value for £7 and only £3:50 concessions. Now how many leagues higher is that than the two sides playing tomorrow?

 

And who says that EFC aren't rip off merchants!
