If you can prove these telephone calls are being made (which I doubt for one min) just another deflection of the truth ! or letters are being sent ... surley the Police should be noified and a phone check made...???

 

If you ring Richard Stokes, His phone is answered by a ansaphone and you can leave a message...

 

This must be the proof the Police would like to hear....

 

Let me say here and now , if it is happening it must stop !!! but if Richard Stokes can provide the evidence to the police I would be more than happy to nab the culprits...as this is not the way to behaivour.....

 

 

But also if found not to be true ! ! ! this would be a disgrace that we are being dragged through the mud again.... for non truths...

 

Slough supporters support Slough, unlike of council who are boasting they have set up a link with Reading football Club...

The people of Slough Knows now who are the real supporters of Slough and what Team brings glory and honours to our Town.

As for David mentioning we might succupper plans for a new consortium ? as they are talking with them - surly the old consortium would like to know was schemes the council and the new consortium are doing behind closed doors !!!!

Lets face it the sooner the people of Slough realise that the mob they have put in control of the borough are an incompetent, divided, unproductive bunch of halfwits the better.

They have completely misunderstood the Slough supporters and Mr. Deaner from the minute they took control. I am still trying to work out whether this is through incompetence or because they simply do not care.

I'm presuming from the above that the calls are still being made to Cllr Stokes then? Haven't see the Express yet, but I have seen an excellent letter in the Observer.

 

Chris, can the club/trust not work with Stokes to either prove and catch the culprit(s) of the calls? If it was that severe, he should go to the police. Until them, I'm suspicious of his actions. He's very forgetful at the best of times.

Well that is it - if these calls are being made get the police in and catch the culprit. Can't be too hard and if the calls are happening the culprit is not exactly the sharpest tool in the box is he?

 

The club would not want to be associated with anyone who would resort to that type of behaviour.

 

As has been seen at the Walsall match and with the town hall protests true Slough supporters know how to make their voices heard.

 

The best way to make a point to Mr. Stokes is not by abusing him but by voting for someone else next time round.

We need to make sure that we can provide assistance to Cllr Stokes to get behind who is doing this. I would like to see/hear the proof of the calls though, as I am apprehensive to say the least.

I've read this letter in the last few minutes and I have to question if the Cllr has completely lost the plot. I'll be writing a response to his letter and I suggest the rest of you do the same. I'm not going to let that lot try to smear us as supporters anymore than they have tried to do already

If malicious or threatening calls have been made they can be traced. If e-mails have been sent, well then there's an e-mail address which can be reported to the service provider. Can Cllr Stokes confirm that he has reported this to the Police? If not, why not?

 

MacIsaac (who is the only person there who I actually believe is trying to help) asks for the negative comments etc. to be toned down as their 'views will harden'. Well I hate to disappoint David MacIsaac but until the council show some proactivity towards helping their town's football club instead of paying pathetic lip service to the issue then our own 'views will harden' against the ruling council who, up to now, have shown an unprecendented level of incompetence in their dealing with this situation.

 

I cannot believe how they've let a golden opportunity slip. If they want to make the previous Labour administration look bad then the obvious way is to take a problem that Labour couldn't resolve and find a solution. Then they can do all the political posturing and point scoring they like, and probably rightly so. For them to adopt the approach they have they are proving they are significantly WORSE than the Labour council who were at least considering solutions. It's incomprehensible to think that some of the ruling council are businessmen when they've failed to grasp such a blatanty obvious opportunity.

 

Sorry cllr's but you've drastically underestimated us. We will not believe the comments that you are trying to help until we see some evidence so you'd better rethink your strategy.

Can I please ask supporters of Slough Borough Council to stop the campaign of abuse against cllr Stokes including abusive emails and phone calls late at night and libellous quotes – that he did not say - being reported in the national press.

For the record, Martin Deaner paid the people who actually did the feasibility study, and he was not entitled to the extra money he asked for, so there was no welching on any deal there.

You may not like his decision, which was also the view of the full Cabinet, but some of tactics being used spoil your cause.

Even someone like myself who has some sympathy and am doing what I can behind the scenes, is appalled by some of the comments being made about him and the abusive calls I have now heard he has been getting at home for some time.

I would ask you all to desist from these tactics and to engage constructively with ideas like those the local consortia group have offered, as all you will do is harden attitudes, not change them, and you are being used politically for other ends rather then (sic) the club’s interests.

[color:"red"] Campaign of libellous quotes [/color] – if there are any libellous quotes in the national press, in what way is that our fault? I presume he means the article in the Daily Telegraph which was not written by any of us. Is it libellous to falsely suggest in a newspaper that a group has been making libellous quotes in newspapers? That could make for quite an interesting case, if one that is hard to follow.

The compensation he deserved and was due to get but at the last minute did not, or the ‘extra money’ that BILLD have been saying he asked for to a tune of £250K a season, which is not what he asked for as we know.

 

[color:"red"] You may not like his decision [/color] – whose decision? Stokes? Deaner? And the Cabinet all do not like the decision either?

Is it a way they are trying to split us supporters apart ? Is the Slough Express trying its best to pave the way for "the other consortuim" to step in ? by trying to divide us ?

Bryce Martin is a part of this consortium ! he works for the Paper ? He has had meetings with Council including the friends of Slough , with Cllr Stokes and Cllr Mac Issac ?

 

United we stand - divided we fall ???

 

Well we are United to save our club , by the people that have cared for this club since the Thornes would not back us anymore for some good reasons !

 

Cllr Stokes is still bitter from the first meeting we had and we turned down on all his non workable solutions ! and was made to look silly and he can not let go of the fact (he did most of it himself when he made those comment he can't remember anymore!) and supported some of the independants and their beliefs that we were all holigans and would only bring chaos and trouble to Britwell. with all these items campaigned on which scared many ! but in return killed a great future and a regeneration programe that could have been second to none for the residents of Britwell but Slough too!

 

Are the friends of Slough working to set up a new team in Slough ? and the council will work towards getting Wexham Park back for the new club ? leaving us in Windsor ?

The council had sent a letter to Martin Deaner that a compensation figure was offered and agreed on of 6,000 pounds! in full and final settlement, yet after another secret meeting The party decide to welch themselves on a letter they had sent to Martin Deaner !

When I spoke to Stokes when he first made the decision to oppose Britwell,he said he didn't have an email address. When i sent him an email, it went to the council who printed if off and gave it to him. So, let's see the copies of the abusive emails.

 

I think they are [censored] stirring and do not like the backlash against them they had cos of our cup run - oh, just imagine what would have happened if we had go to play Newcastle.

 

Can we trust a man who keeps saying that Deaners wants council tax money to help the club, when all he/we ever wanted was a piece of land and planning permission.

Richard Stokes already mentioned this at the first meeting with hime that people had been calling him in the night and leaving nasty messages for him ! he could not prove it then so why has David Mac issac become his lap dog ???

This is an utter disgrace from a local Counciller if he cant prove it then don't make such remarks in the first place....
