I wasn't saying that at all Gordon, I was just pointing out how rowdy the Barnet fans were.

 

And no I wasn't saying he should take abuse because he's a footballer, I was merely saying that he shouldn't give it back to the fans like he did, it shows bad etiquette for the players. He is the captain after all, and what sort of example is that?

Lets hope the Gravesend Reporter doen't send an undercover journalist into the infamous Plough End. The swear words and abuse could end in sanctions that could reverbrate around European Football.

It's nothing to what you hear in the Centenery Lower at Upton Park, mate or come to think of it, on the football pitch itself at all levels. I'm not condoning it, nor am I pleading innocence but, rightly or wrongly, it's part of football. The game's played by grown men and mainly watched by grown men. Grown men swear. I know that football at a sunday league level has a swear word every other word from all of the players, my dad used to run his own team!
