Saturdays v Heybridge

If Dorms is fit then I reckon the team will be unchanged from the one that started on Tuesday. I think we will need to put in the same effort as we did in the first half on tues for the whole 90mins v Heybridge as I seem to remember them leaving with the points a few too many times recently.

I wonder how the players regard Bertie since he left? Will be interesting to see.

My prediction is for a very close 1-0 to us, with a late goal coming from a midfielder.

Hopefully a decent crowd too.

If Dormer isn't fit I can see Henty filling the left wing role with Cuz staying as striker with Wareham and Kerrigan going left back...

But, there is also an arguement for Cuz going on the left and Nathan starting up front, with Henty over lapping on the left...Interesting to see what Justin does.

Anyone agree / disagree?

Id be much happier with Cousins up front than on the wing to be honest, from the games ive seen hes been much more productive up top. No reason why Henty shouldnt play left, will be interesting to see. I reckon 1-0 or 2-1 is a good call, Heybridge looked a decent side on the first day of the season and Brayley IS a good player. Could be our first 'double' of the season.

If we're gonna get promoted we need to win games like this and I think we have reached a stage where we can grind a result out. My predictions:

Ricay 3 Swifts 1

Att. 500

and... plenty of stick for Brayley!!!

If I may quote from a sneak preview I've seen of the programme editor's collection of cliches for Saturday....

Of course league form counts for nothing in local derbies, and today's opponents are sure to be hungry to avenge their opening day defeat when we won 1-0 at Scraley road courtesy of a goal from Danny Hockton

And I reckon that's true. As Ryan says Heybridge will want to raise their game for this one, and will no doubt be prepared for a bit of a battle. It'll be tough and if you offered me a scrappy 1-0 I'd take it, but I think we'll have to defend a bit better than on Tuesday to win. Prediction 2-2, both sides to have a player sent off.

When was the last time we had a man sent off? Cant remember one this season

The last player I remember getting sent off for us was Dave Reddington against Thurrock last October (03). He got booked for a foul (I think) and then cleverly received a second yellow 5 minutes later for kicking the ball away. It was 0-0 at the time and we ended up losing 1-0.

As for this game I suspect Brayley will be sent off for them for being a t**t and Kieran will receive his marching orders for kicking Brayley (along the ground natch )
