when will chuck learn!!

4 games now we have looked good in the first half and then we just switch off in the second half. we need to sort it out cos i dnt know how much longer we can put up with going 1-0 up and then throwing the game away!

we looked really good in the first half, passing the ball around really well and a great goal by mr ekwala!

was chuck really 'injured' last night AFTER the penalty went in and i think we need to get another keeper whatever happens!

Ok, last night wasn't the greatest, but I think that this i one time we need to cut Chuck a litte slack.

 

Right at the start of the second half his shoulder dislocated and then went back in so he couldn't come out to collect the ball that lead to the penalty. He had to make a last ditched attempt to to stop the player which unfortunatly won them a penalty.

 

I believe that Chuck should be given credit for being 'forced' to play on and should have been taken off. I was even asked to go and get another keepers shirt so that Justin Skinner could go in goal but then Den seemed to change his mind and leave Chuck in goal.

 

If you are going to slate anyone or call for them to go then at least have the bottle to put your name against your post! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Credit where credit's due for carrying on with that injury. But we at least need some back up incase stuff like this does happen. I thought it was a bit harsh when everyone had a go at him when he was clearly injured.

 

Yes he's cost us alot of games recently but he's all we've got so let's get behind him

the facts are chuck hurt his shoulder in the penalty fiasco and on not one occasion did he say to me or angie that he was in to much pain to continue, i was going to put skinner in goal but he advised me an injured chuck would be better than him, getting the shirt malc was a precausion,

Is this just one of those dodgy spells that every team encounters?

 

Our ability to hang onto a lead or kill off teams when we have gone one up seems to have deserted us.

 

I feel we are a little one-paced at the moment, we don't appear to have that zest or ability to step up a gear when needed. Confidence possibly.

 

It will inevitably fall back into place, but I can't help feeling we need an "o'connor" like grease lightning irritating forward.

 

When you've lost a few on the spin you need your experienced guys to pull everyone together, not panic and just get through games. It'll happen I'm sure....as long as everyone believes it?

 

Let's hope Chuck's clangers stop. Perhaps a man-of-the-match display on Dec 27th would help wipe some bad memories.

its hard to put your finger on it as diplays first half have been first class but that 2nd goal eludes us, the mistakes from chuck have been a major contribution as we were in control against hendon and cheshunt until then, then it lifts them and deflates us, we are not far away you will see a couple of new arrivals in the next week one being the top scorer in our league this will help the cause
