Great performance from the lads.The goal was a bit fortunate but we fully deserved the victory.Trev was superb in goal and the defence held firm.We could have wrapped it up in the second half with a few break aways.Through to the quarters.Anyone will do and a home draw would be nice, but its good to have got this far. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" />

Fully concur JP, great result. Rode our luck in the 1st 20 mins, keeper Trevor Wickens kept us in it. Fortune played it's part when a howler from their keeper allowed Reevo to roll the ball into the empty net.

 

Only one low point, I thought MB was going to get his marching orders late in the game for the second time in 4 days.

 

Needs to show more maturity at that stage of the game when we are trying to protect a one goal lead, especially as he has the armband. We need his experience and ability and can ill afford him missing games through suspension.

not sure anthony would be happy that his goal was seen as a tap into an empty net. he told me it was from the acutest of angles, the ball was bobbling about and spinning viciously!!

 

Anyway brilliant result, well done to all the lads and I also agree with your comments on Mark. He played well yesterday so no need for all that nonsense at the end of the game.

Hi Pete, to be fair to Reevo it did look a tight angle, I was by the burger bar so was not in the best of positions to see. I'm sure he wouldn't have cared if it had bounced in off his backside so long as it went in.
