You are indeed correct that the people still going to Hornchurch are the harcore fans.

 

However, where were you all 5 or 6 years ago if you are that hardcore and loyal. When my mate

used to play upfront for Hornchurch I would pop over for midweek games and there would

be about 80 people there!!! Where were you all then?? And while you may be loyal now how

does that make me a plastic chav muppet glory hunting......?? Following Dagenham down

the Confernce as we all did a few years ago and taking years to come back up did not involve

much glory hunting I assure you!!

 

You may be second still for now, but let's be realistic, it's not going to last is it??

Ermmmm i tink not mate. I remember the day's when you only got a hundred or so fans turning up.

 

Anyway all this crap has been said before. Please feel free to post, but make it interesting a not all this we have more fans then you bollox!!!

Now, when we were in the Ryman League our crowds did indeed drop, fair point. But

I don't ever remember our average league gate being 100?!?!?!? I think you are getting

a little carried away are you not?? Even when we were a very average Ryman side our

average league gates were around the 600 mark and I am sure someone could check this out

for you, should you not agree??

 

NTRSW let's not get carried away either. You have done well to keep the club running

but thinking you are ever going to challenge for league status, or even make it into the

National Conference at all is a little far fetched??

Depends on what side you were watching pre merger, Dagenham or Redbridge Forest. I think before the merger Dagenham were getting crowds around the 300 mark whilst Redbridge Forest who were then in the Conference were getting over a 1000.

Back to the thread...... I agree with the earlier posters. Felt gutted last night/this morning/now!!! we deserved something out of that game. Defence were awesome...wasn't a penalty....when will we start scoring goals though??

 

Also, I missed me sing song last night... The Riverside was dull <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Crikey, there is an original one!!! No, the reasons behind it are that when I was at school

at about 11 I could not afford to go to West Ham or Orient or anyone and at the time Redbridge

Forest, as it was then, were playing in the Conference against some pretty good and well known

sides so a few of us from school started going over there. A year or so later came the merger

and we have just carried on going from there. At the time Hornchurch were not that big a club,

and like most of you lot, I didn't consider watching them back then.

Well, that is 14 years ago so I would say for someone of my age that is

"back then", wouldn't you?? Anyway, I was simply meaning back then the

team we followed was Redbridge Forest which went on to make part of the

current set up. Was simply answering the question asked on the previous

post.

Anyway, you been eating any fags again recently?? Smoking them is bad

for people but eating them is a different matter mate??

Yeah, we drink in the Yeoman pretty regularly, including Saturdays. Taken your time to work

it out!!! Not sure if I am the exact look a like you are thinking though?? We normally have

a bit of banter with Gooner, or Eastside as he now appears to be known!! We took a lot of flak

from Eastside, and his mates, while Hornchurch were climbing the pyramid so we have to give it

back now!!! Without sounding like a bore, I warned Eastaside for the last 18 months that it could

not last and he just laughed at me and told me we were jealous!!!

Just to give you all a laug as well, Daggers crowd last night for our Essex SeniorCup game was

the lowest in our history for a competitive game, 95!!
