Just got back from the game tonight and I feel totally gutted.

It was a fantastic display from our boys and a draw would have flattered Cambridge in my opinion.

 

Unfortunatley, bad decisions, bad luck mixed in with a load of play acting from the opposition ruled the day once again.

 

I'm just sick of all this bad luck. Why couldn't it have been us to get a late penalty? Too much to ask of course but it shouldn't have mattered as we could have even won the game in the last 5 minutes at 1-0 down.

 

On the brighter side of things, it was a much improved performance and certainly gives me reason for optimism. Cambridge are a handy team and we outclassed them.

 

Keep your chins up boys. You did everything you could tonight and next time the luck might, just might ride with us - please!

Raver - my sentiments entirely. Well said that man.

 

The lads played their hearts out tonight, and I cannot believe that we actually lost that game. If the boys show the same commitment as they did tonight, then play-offs if not promotion looks like a distinct rather than a remote possibility.

 

Our luck will change soon. If Basingstoke can get tonked 5-1 at home to Havant & Waterlooville - (85 miles away for all you bikers out there <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />) - then I'm sure that we can get the result we need to keep us in the mix at the top of the conny south until the new year.

 

The side seems to be settling in & can only improve on what was already a fairly accomplished performance. Only disappointment of the night for me was the attendance of 263. Yes, I know that the 3 were the cambridge fans, but hang your head in shame anybody reading this who did not attend. (no UBFL, I'm not picking on you...)

 

The tide will turn, luck will be riding with the urchins again soon.

Well, well, well Gents. Looks like your game was a bit like ours in that you feel gutted

this morning.

 

I came out of our place last night totally gutted as well to be honest. It's

a hard game to take on nights like that. However, right on cue as I came out of the station

I bumped into an Urchin fan!!!! And if I thought we had a s**t night, the sight of one of your

joke supporters was enough to cheer me up!!! Cos though we lost a game things are not to bad.

After all, we were playing Exeter City.....you were playing Cambridge City. After all, there

were 1,200 at our game........there were 263 at your's. After all, we are mid table in the

National Conference..........you are sliding down the Conference South. And after all, we will

still be in the same league next season getting gates of 1,000+..........you may not even

exist!!!!

 

Now, I am not taking the pi*s or anything here, I am just saying certain things

make you appreciate what you have if you see what I mean?? Dagenham lost, but things are

not that bad, that's all I am saying. My little wager on Grays is looking like it will be

a winner though, which is of course in a very selfish way, very good news!!!

 

Anyway, heads

up Gents, there is always the next game. Adios!!!

Never fear Mrs Dagger, we will be here next season, alive and ready for kicking!!!

 

Your very unoriginal post is just the reason why we will be around, we've been kicked and kicked since this has all happened, but thanks to a lot of help (Oops, your club included ) we will still be around and ready to challenge for the title yet again.

 

Oh dear, didn't anyone tell you that the Daggers have helped the Urchin cause.

C'mon gents, you need to chill out a bit. I post a nice message and all this silly

stuff comes back. And as for drinking in the Eastbrook sir, I have never been in

there in my life, and living in Upminster am never lightly to!!!! And jokes about

dodgy e's are a bit rich judging by the little chavs you had watching your club until

it all went t*ts up!!!

 

Glad to know the Daggers are helping out. We have to look

after smaller clubs like your's, it's all part of the game. Without clubs like

Hornchurch the non league game would cease to exist.

 

Why would that make me look

whereas, and i'm not having a go here, your presence here is proof of the fact that plastic muppet chav gloryhunting mofos are in abundance in dagenham.

 

as for "sliding down the conference south"...erm 1st to 2nd. bloody hell, such a crash, we've got the bends...
