Awesome first half, we looked amazing. Staines got a fortunate goal in the second but were never really under threat of losing.

Shame yeading won 3-2 but we're still up to forth with games in hand.

Well done Ricay <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mango.gif" alt="" />

Somebody said on the forum before that winning is a habit and it looks like we are getting to the stage where we know we can get a decent result from any game. At the start of the season we lost a lot of games cos we couldnt finish average sides off and then conceded an easy goal but that seems to have changed. Well done fellas

Scrappy game, but we dominated for long spells to go 2 up. Gave a way a sloppy goal (suggestion of offside) and were under pressure. Defended quite well but got involved in a bit of niggle with the opposition. Thought the ref kept a lid on it quite well, but we picked up a couple of silly bookings which doesn't help.

Blow losing Dorms, hope he'll be ok for saturday - agree that moving Cuz to the wing saw us lose a little shape up front. Nathan did well as a sub though, looked strong and won a lot of balls in the air but maybe he and Ross are a little similar to form an effective partnership?

Overall though good performance, played some good football at times and battled well when we needed to. Be interesting to see if Justin thinks about a change or 2 for Saturday as one or two of the lads were looking a little jaded tonight.

Up to 4th with games in hand....... we're on a roll!

A brilliant performance in the first half where we showed flair, determination and skill. No one played badly and we were well worth the 2 goals.

Then, Dormer gets taken off at half time because of a knock he got in the first half, and we looked as if we could cruise...the worrying thing was, we acted as if we could cruise and we started to let Staines in. Staines did nothing new...we just stopped, gave 'em the goal and then woke up. We ended up stronger and better but it was a worry for the middle part of the 2nd half.

Cuz got the first and Dorms the second (altho, Hunter wanted to claim it).

We're fourth and starting to rock and roll boys. Yeading...? Well, I'd give 'em up to Xmas and then they'll unravel. They can't keep on pulling 3-2 wins out of the bag and I'm sure they won't. Watch this space for a Blues league win!!!

first half was superb and there were several players who were playing really well. Dorms was one and as a result of him going off we did lose a bit of the shape. Thought Cous took the first goal really well. Thought the one on one he missed was an easier chance.

As for the niggly stuff, well anyone who has played the game knows that it happens and if the ref fails to pick up on all the little kicks and elbows it really does stretch you patience to the limit. Kieran did very well to control himself when he got book as their lad had his arm/legs/elbows all over him.

Thought Ross had another blinding game, worked his socks off.

I thought the young linesman was given a rather unfair ear bashing last night. This lad was no more than 18 and was verbally abused all night and even told he was 'gay' by someone old enough to be his grandad. Why? because he made a few decisions that the supporters didnt like. I know giving the officials is all part and parcel of the game, trust me I have done it myself on and off the pitch, but surely at some point people have to draw the line. This lino was nothing more than a boy getting experience and if he wasnt up to the task then its more the leagues fault for putting him in the situation in the first place. I just thought it was a bit much to hear grown men insulting a lad that was clearly our of his depth.

Well done to the team, keep the points coming!

I agree regarding the abuse side of things which appears to be getting worse, there have been a few incidents where a decision has been made against us which I have agreed with, yet abuse has been hurled at the ref/linesman who was in a better position and most likely to have been correct.

A couple of incidents I remember one at Windsor and the other at Cheshunt where the linesman has correctly flagged for offside (I was in line so could confirm) but then has received a load of abuse from supporters who were looking at a different angle.

I am not saying that we should all act like choirboys and I, like most will voice my opinions when I think a decision is poor but there is no need for personal verbal attacks on the officials, we might need their help later on!
