Last seasons reserves

If anyone fancies re-living the excitement of last seasons successful reserve team, then get yourself along to London Colney Football Club tonite as i am led to believe from a footballing friend that most ( at least 5 probably more ) of the boys are playing in a friendly tonight with a view of signing for them.

 

I do not know why theirs so many of them going down their, maybe an old influence has played a part??

Yes, Gertcha and I heard a rumour along these lines on Saturday evening.

 

I hope everything works out for all parties concerned - seems London Colney could soon become the place to watch football in the St Albans area!

Well i feel a bit sorry for those guys actually.

Had a great season then told they didnt have a club at the end of it.

Hope they do well tonight lads.

I followed them more than i did the first team last year. played better football. They deserve my support more than the 1st team do.

Hold on there Blaze ....lets get real. Last years reserves is well and truely over and will never be the same either here or anywhere else for the simple reason..............

.........both seem to want to join Bishop Stortford and play in their reserves in the (still) poxy Capital League.... cant see that myself ...but hey its their choice.

 

So looking at it with the above in mind it will be good if some players get the chance to play on a regular basis but if you look at the list, those that know, know the best chance of recreating that <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wow.gif" alt="" /> has been lost forever.

 

Great for those who take the chance but lets get over last year and move on please.

totally understand ur sentiments, and yes i followed them more than the first team as well last season

 

but

 

whilst having many issues with the present & just departed regime i can t see how a supporter of SACFC can choose to watch someone else over his own football club

 

this club belongs to us all, not one person(s)

 

 

on a side issue how funny will it be for Yeading to put one over another loud mouthed Barcode* in the forthcoming FA Cup fixture

I can see how this could happen as it was run as two separate clubs really not as two teams playing for the same club.....that was a senior management decision by the way ....not the choice of all parties.

 

So lets find the missing 300 or so spectators every week and see how many of them have gone on to watch other teams / clubs. If you are one of these people please reply and let us know......but then we may have to kill you <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

 

As for supporting the club I have always thought it was quite simple, the 3 E's -

 

Expense v Entertainment v Environment

 

Any Club that gets two of these right has a fighting chance, lost cost but good football, okay.....low cost good atmosphere. okay ....etc etc .......

 

A club that gets all 3 right .... welll nuff said.......

Josh Smith looked a good prospect last season. Very skillful. Always felt he needed to believe in himself a bit more, though. Where has he been this season, TC?

i take your points caretaker and you are right, i just thought their was a few more players involved thats all. my mistake.

 

It would be interesting to know were some of those players are now.

I thought tyrone london and ricky perks signed first team forms anyway.

They were definately the best performers and ones i thought would push for a place in the first team.

Yes looked a good player for only 17. Played local football in Luton I believe but nothing special so good to see him taking the interest.

Think I've got most of it right but could be one or two more later maybe. As for Perks and London both signed forms last year but both left at the end of the season when all went astray. Tyrone only plays Sunday football with his mates (although he is a frequent lodger at my house at weekends as he still travels out from Charlton to see his mates from the reserves) and Ricky attended pre season training but fell out with SC ...now theres a surprise. Was considering a return once SC departed but came and watched the reserves against Gravesend and was a little dissapointed...... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
